XY139: Rocking Kalos Defenses!/Transcript

This is a transcript of the Pokémon the Series: XYZ episode: "Rocking Kalos Defenses!".

Narrator

The destruction of Kalos continues, brought on by Team Flare. However, Serena, along with Mairin, successfully rescued Chespie. And with Blaziken Mask at her side, Bonnie stood before Zygarde to stop its rampage. with a song, an exhausted Squishy was soon freed from Team Flare's control. Clemont and Clembot successfully destroyed Team Flare's control system and release the other Zygarde from its grip. However, it came at a price: The complete loss of Clembot's memory. It was a heart-wrenching decision Clemont was forced to make. Meanwhile, Ash and Alain are in the heat of battle.

Lysandre

Use Hyper Beam!

[Gyarados fires Hyper Beam.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, use Quick Attack!

[Pikachu hits Gyarados with Quick Attack.]

Alain

Keep up the heat, use Dragon Claw!

Ash Ketchum

Greninja, use Cut, now!

[Charizard and Greninja load up their moves and hit the target together.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, Thunderbolt, go!

[Pikachu hits Gyarados with Thunderbolt, knocking it down and transforming it back to its regular forme, along with Charizard, Houndoom and Greninja.]

Alain

It appears that the fighting instinct you've spoken of is a thing of the past.

Ash Ketchum

It's all over, Lysandre.

[Lysandre returns Gyarados into his Poké Ball.]

Lysandre

All your petty talk.

[Lysandre steps backward.]

Malva

(Gasps)

Lysandre

It will never extinguish my dream.

[He stands on the edge of the Prism Tower.]

Ash and Alain

Huh?!

[Lysandre opens his arms out wide.]

Lysandre

I'm still committed to recreating this world.

[Lysandre drops backwards and falls down.]

Ash Ketchum

Greninja!

[Greninja flings its scarf to try and grab hold of Lysandre, but it's too late. Everyone runs to the part of the tower where Lysandre fell.]

Ash Ketchum

(Angrily) Lysandre!

[Malva drops to her knees. Ash's communicator beeps.]

Ash Ketchum

Huh?

[He presses his communicator.]

Serena

(Over communicator) Ash?

Ash Ketchum

Serena, where are you guys now?

Serena

We're at Lysandre Labs and we just rescued Chespie. Professor Sycamore and Steven are here with us at the lab as well.

Alain

(Over communicator) Mairin, are you there?

Mairin

I'm here with Chespie. Are you okay, Alain?

Alain

I'm fine. How are you?

Mairin

(Over communicator) I'm fine. Chespie's safe, too.

Alain

Ah, hmm.

Ash Ketchum

That's great news, Alain.

Serena

Ash, what's your location?

Ash Ketchum

(Over communicator) We're at the top of Prism Tower.

[Steven and Sycamore notice the door open. Inside is a room with a large glowing gem nested inside a glass cylinder.]

Serena

Could I ask you to go to the Gym? It's Clemont.

Ash Ketchum

Ah.

[The opening theme and title card plays.]

[Cut to Team Rocket, on opposite sides with Celosia, Mable and their two Pokemon.]

Celosia

Use Sludge Bomb!

Mable

Use Ice Beam!

[Weavile and Drapion execute their moves.]

Jessie

Wobbuffet, Mirror Coat!

[Wobbuffet glows a rainbow-colored aura, generating an orb which absorbs their moves. It fires back, hitting both Team Flare and their Pokémon...]

Celosia and Mable

Ah!

[..causing an explosion. Cut to Team Rocket, wounded with James holding the camera.]

Jessie

All right, James, use String Shot.

James

Hey, I'm not a Bug-type. (His camera shoots literally in both directions) Ah!

[Team Flare and their Pokémon are wrapped in a net.]

Mable

Let us go!

Celosia

Not cool!

[Team Rocket pose in-front of Team Flare.]

Jessie

Team Flare, catch of the day.

[At Lysandre Labs, Steven types on the keyboard.]

Serena

What are you doing?

Steven

I'm finding out what kind of research was being conducted here. (A window pops up) Ah. (He touches a button, revealing Chespin in the next window.) There it is.

Professor Sycamore

What is it?

[A loud bang is heard in the background, shuddering the group. The room illuminates to red and starts shaking.]

Everyone

Huh?

[The cylinder emits a red glow.]

Mairin

What's happening?

[The glass around the column shatters, causing everyone to scream and brace themselves as a dust cloud covers them. Chespie is forced out or Mairin's grasp.]

Mairin

Chespie? Hey!

[Chespin is sucked into the gem. Sycamore and Mairin run towards the gem, but it's too late, as Chespin is sucked all the way in.]

Mairin

(Despairing) Chespie!

[Sycamore restrains her.]

Professor Sycamore

Mairin, wait!

Mairin

But Chespie disappeared!

[The gem glows white.]

Professor Sycamore

It's dangerous!

[The gem starts transforming. Dagger-shaped arms protrude from the gem. The gem starts growing, damaging the building, causing Serena and Steven to run off. While Mairin looks inside the gem, Sycamore is grabbing hold of Mairin's arm.]

Mairin

(Anguished) Chespie, no!

Professor Sycamore

We've got to get away, Mairin!

[Sycamore drags Mairin away as rocks crumble down. The entire building collapses. The giant rock completes its transformation. The group watch it and the creeping vines return to life, swinging about.]

Mairin

(Upset) Chespie.

Serena

Professor Sycamore, what's happening?

Professor Sycamore

I have no idea. Is the Giant Rock involved?

Steven

Involved? I'm certain the Giant Rock is the source. Anything can happen now.

[The rocky Zygarde starts attacking and terrorizing the area. A large group of people are running away in panic.]

Wobbuffet

Wobwobwobwob!

Meowth

Heads up!

James

What is that thing?

Jessie

(Normal eyes) To prepare you for trouble, we're sending a scoop.

[The team make their way inside the helicopter and take off.]

James

(Normal eyes) Because we're a double-edged news gathering group.

Jessie

To protect the world and not tell a lie.

James

To unite all people wherever we fly!

Jessie

To denounce the evils of staying mute!

James

To extend our reach while staying cute.

Jessie

Jessie!

James

And it's James.

Jessie

Team Rocket shows the headline with a shining, bright light!

James

Team Flare has fizzled, we fought the good fight!

Meowth

Meowth, that's right!

Wobbuffet

Wobbuffet!

[At Anistar City, the Sundial trembles.]

Olympia

The Sundial is starting to tremble.

[In the area with the control system, Clemont - with all of his Pokémon, is still on his knees.]

Ash Ketchum

Clemont!

Ash's Pikachu

(Calling) Pika!

[Ash and Alain run past the Lumiose Gym tunnel and stop in misery after seeing Clemont on his knees, finding out what happened.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Softly) Pika.

[The camera pans down to the broken Clembot.]

Ash Ketchum

(Softly) What happened, Clemont?

[Clemont's glasses glow white.]

Clemont

Clembot did it all.

Ash Ketchum

(Softly) Can Clembot be fixed?

Clemont

I'll do my best.

[He pinches his knees.]

Clemont

I haven't been of any use so far.

[Ash's communicator beeps.]

Ash Ketchum

Ah. (On communicator) What's up?

Serena

(Over communicator) Uh, Ash, it's an emergency.

[An airplane watches over the rocky Zygarde, plowing through the forest.]

Professor Sycamore

(Over communicator) The Giant Rock at Lysandre Labs absorbed Chespie.

Ash Ketchum

(Shocked) Huh?

Alain

Absorbed Chespie?

Professor Sycamore

(Over communicator) The Giant Rock's on the move somewhere! I don't know where.

[Cut to Sycamore.]

Professor Sycamore

I'm sending you our coordinates. Get here fast and bring Blaziken Mask. We're going to keep track of its movements and analyze as we can.

Serena

Ash, please be careful.

Ash Ketchum

I will. (He hangs up) Hey, Clemont.

[Clemont stands up.]

Clemont

I'm all right. (Faces Ash) The battle isn't over just yet.

[In the Lumiose ruins, Squishy jumps over the debris and looks down at a fellow Zygarde Cell. Bonnie notices the partnership.]

Bonnie

Yay! (Lowers down to Blue Dot Cell) Hello there.- I'm good friends with Squishy.

[-The other Zygarde Cell gets up. The two confront each other in anger.]

Blue Dot Cell

Look at this devastation. The humans did this. This is why they're so evil.

Red Dot Cell

I believe in humans.

Blue Dot Cell

How can you say such a thing?

Red Dot Cell

Because these humans haven't given up yet.

Blue Dot Cell

(Angry murmuring)

[Bonnie lowers down to Blue Dot Cell.]

Bonnie

Oh, please, come here. Don't be scared. (Blushes) Why don't you come with us?

[The Blue Dot Cell trembles. Cut to a helicopter with Alain and Malva, the latter inaudible.]

Zygarde

Being on a journey with this girl and her friends has allowed me to witness many things. They help each other. They work hard. They share their happiness together. They trust each other. they move forward together and they never give up. That's how the humans I travel with are.

[Bonnie offers a hand.]

Bonnie

If Squishy's a friend of yours, then I'm your friend, too. I won't hurt you. I want to be your friend.

[Mega-Blaziken and Blaziken Mask watch on. Bonnie picks up Blue Dot Cell.]

Bonnie

OK?

[A smiling Bonnie tickles Blue Dot Cell under the chin with her finger.]

Bonnie

When I tickle Squishy under the chin like this, then it laughs.

[Blue Dot Cell turns away, causing Red Dot Cell to notice. An aircraft approaches from the sky. Blaziken Mask waves as the craft continue to follow Rocky Zygarde.]

Steven

Listen, everyone, I want to tell you what I know about the Giant Rock. When we scanned it, we discovered that it's a giant mass of energy, a mass of energy that strongly resembles Zygarde's.

[Ash and Alain - reunited with Clemont and Bonnie - holding the two Zygarde Cells, watch on the screen.]

Steven

In addition, we picked up Chespie's vital signs from within its core, and we found and retrieved Chespie's records located in the lab's database. According to those records, an accident caused Chespie to absorb some of Zygarde's energy. We think that the Giant Rock absorbed Chespie in order to obtain that energy.

Professor Sycamore

But now the Giant Rock is in search of its next energy source.

[A map of Kalos points towards the location of Anistar City.]

Alain

Isn't that...?

Professor Sycamore

It's Anistar City!

Ash Ketchum

Anistar City?

Ash's Pikachu

Pika?

Professor Sycamore

(Over communicator) It's headed toward the Sundial. The Sundial is a giant crystal said to have come from space. We know that the energy it contains is the very same energy that Pokemon emit when they're experiencing Mega Evolution.

Blaziken Mask

Let's say the Giant Rock is drawn toward that energy. Why that energy, though?

Professor Sycamore

(Over communicator) I know why. If the Giant Rock and the Sundial come in direct contact and then merge as a result...

[The two icons of the Sundial and the Giant Rock merge together. An explosion is recreated on the map, extending to the entire world. Cut to Serena and Mairin, watching nervously.]

Serena

Then that means...

Professor Sycamore

..it means it's the end of the world.

[Alain pounds the exit door in fury.]

Alain

Lysandre, recreating the world at any cost.

Ash Ketchum

We won't let that happen. (Determined) Professor, we've got to rescue Chespie and stop the Giant Rock right away!

Ash's Pikachu

Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum

We can and we will.

Serena

(Optimistic) Okay. We're with you!

Ash Ketchum

Awesome!

Ash's Pikachu

Pika!

Alain

Mairin.

Mairin

Hm?

Alain

I promise I'm going to save Chespie.

Mairin

(Tearful) Thanks.

[The segment "Who's that Pokemon?" plays.]

[In an area of Kalos, the Giant Rock is continuing its journey toward the Sundial, visible in the background. An aircraft watches over the activity. At Anistar City, Olympia is with Officer Jenny, watching the Sundial.]

Olympia

That's everything Professor Sycamore told us. You need to evacuate the residents of Anistar at once.

Officer Jenny

Right.

[Officer Jenny runs off.]

Olympia

The Sundial can't be destroyed. (After a pause, she opens her arms out wide) Gather!

[Back at the Giant Rock, Team Rocket are on-board their helicopter recording the footage.]

Jessie

The mysterious giant object is currently heading to Anistar City. Nearby residents should evacuate immediately.

[Steven pushes a button, opening the side door.]

Steven

(Draws his Pokeball) Are you ready to go?

Sycamore

(Draws his Pokeball) Yeah.

Serena

We want to come and help, too.

Mairin

Serena?

Serena

If we don't, the world will end, and I can't bear the thought of that happening,

Steven

Now, Metagross, go!

Professor Sycamore

Now, Garchomp, go!

Serena

Braixen, come out!

[All three Pokemon are deployed. Sycamore and Steven activate their Mega Rings.]

Sycamore and Steven

Mega Evolve!

[Metagross and Garchomp are transformed to their Mega formes. Braixen hops onto Metagross as they start tracking the source.]

Steven

(To Metagross) Flash Cannon!

Professor Sycamore

(To Garchomp) Use Dragon Pulse!

Serena

(To Braixen) Use Flamethrower!

[All three Pokemon target the Giant Rock with their moves. Rocky Zygarde blocks the moves with creeping vines. The vines almost hit Garchomp.]

Professor Sycamore

(To Garchomp) Dragon Pulse, let's go!

[Garchomp takes out a vine with Dragon Pulse.]

Serena

(To Braixen) Use Flamethrower!

Steven

(To Metagross) Go, Flash Cannon!

[Braixen breathes fire, rotating so that it takes out the vine. Flash Cannon fires straight ahead. Cut to Team Rocket.]

Meowth

Hey, check out the twerpette.

[Garchomp is grabbed by one the creeping vines, trapping it.]

Professor Sycamore

Garchomp, no!

Braixen

Braixen!

[The vines also grab and trap Metagross. Braixen is tossed off.]

Serena

No, Braixen!

Steven

Metagross!

[Braixen screams as she falls down, but Mega Charizard X rescues her. Sycamore, Steven and Serena gasp.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Happy) Pika!

Braixen

(Happy) Braixen!

Steven

Charizard.

Serena

And Pikachu.

[Mairin and Serena look at each other, and start giggling. A helicopter flies beyond the rocks, a close-up reveals Alain, Bonnie, Blaziken Mask, Clemont and Ash on board.]

Serena

(Happy) It's Ash and Clemont!

Mairin

(Tearful) And Alain.

Jessie

Here they come!

Meowth

The gang is all here!

[The overview shows Alain's Mega-Charizard X, the helicopter and the aircraft alongside each other ahead of the Giant Rock.]

Alain

Now, Charizard, Flamethrower!

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, use Iron Tail!

[Charizard turns around towards the enemy. Pikachu drops off. It fires Flamethrower at the vine trapping Garchomp, breaking it and freeing it.]

Ash's Pikachu

Chu...pika!

[Iron Tail breaks the other vine, freeing Metagross. Pikachu lands back onto Charizard. Viewers from the Pokemon Center are watching the coverage.]

Jessie

Presently, in order to stop the mysterious giant object in its mysterious tracks, Professor Sycamore, and the twerp...I mean, Pokemon trainers are battling it with a vengeance.

Sawyer

Take care, Ash.

[At Anistar City, the road starts melting and crumbling into the lake. Back to the Giant Rock.]

Alain

Professor, do you know Chespie's exact location?

Professor Sycamore

The scan shows Chespie is somewhere in its core.

Greninja

Gren.

[Ash and Greninja activate Ash-Greninja vision. Chespin is revealed to be deep inside the Giant Rock in an incapacitated state.]

Ash Ketchum

Oh! Hey, Greninja. Did you see it too?

Greninja

Ja.

Ash Ketchum

Know what? I just got an idea. You with me?

Greninja

Ninja.

[Ash and Greninja step onto the edge of the aircraft.]

Professor Sycamore

Ash, are you sure?

Ash Ketchum

Of course. Just give us a chance.

Bonnie

Yeah!

[Greninja jumps off the aircraft.]

Ash Ketchum

Make sure you've got Greninja's back, Pikachu!

Alain

Charizard, you do the same as well!

Professor Sycamore

Let's help Ash all that we can!

Steven

That includes you, Metagross!

[The Pokemon organize themselves.]

Mairin

Chespie, take care and be safe.

[Cut to Greninja.]

Greninja

Gren.

[It activates Ash-Greninja vision. It finds the exact location of Mairin's Chespin.]

Ash Ketchum

There it is. Greninja, Water Shuriken!

[The shuriken is thrown at the crystal like a pinpoint, marking the exact location.]

Alain

Whoa.

Ash Ketchum

Right down there! Chespie's down under the Shuriken! Everyone, head toward the Water Shuriken!

Clemont, Alain, Steven, Serena and Sycamore

Hm.

Ash's Pikachu

(Pointing to the location of the Water Shuriken) Pika-pika!

[The other Pokemon obey Pikachu's order. The Giant Rock starts attacking with creeping vines, forcing the Pokemon to dodge.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, Thunderbolt, let's go!

Alain

Now, use Flamethrower!

[More vines aim for Garchomp.]

Professor Sycamore

All right, Hyper Beam!

[Hyper Beam takes out more vines, but is forced to dodge more vines.]

Steven

Flash Cannon, go!

[Flash Cannon takes out more vines.]

Serena

Use Flamethrower!

[Flamethrower takes out more vines, but Metagross is forced to dodge more vines.]

Steven

It's endless!

Professor Sycamore

At this rate, we won't even be able to get close.

[The Pokemon continue to fire moves. Cut to Greninja, forced to dodge more vines.]

Ash Ketchum

Quick, use Cut!

[Greninja slashes two vines, but gets caught and wrapped by the third one.]

Ash's Pikachu

Pika?

[Another vine catches and wraps Charizard, Pikachu starts falling.]

Ash's Pikachu

Pika!

[Another vine catches and wraps Pikachu. He screams for help.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, no!

Alain

Charizard!

[As Braixen and Metagross take out more vines, another vine catches Metagross.]

Serena

Braixen!

Steven

Metagross!

[Garchomp breaks free of one vine but is caught by another.]

Professor Sycamore

Oh, no, Garchomp.

Jessie

I'm not liking this one bit!

[The Pokemon are completely helpless while they're trapped. Worried and annoyed grunts are heard. A moment later, a giant beam is fired at the Giant Rock, blinding Team Rocket.]

Jessie

What's going on?!

[Everyone exclaims and shields their eyes. The vines break off, freeing all the trapped Pokemon.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Happy) Pika!

Everyone

Huh?

[The clouds clear. Triumphant music plays. Cut to Team Rocket.]

Team Rocket

Excuse me?!

[Diantha and the other seven Kalos Gym Leaders with their favorite Pokemon arrive together.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Jubilant) Pika!

Ash Ketchum

Check it out!

Clemont

Look at all the Gym Leaders!

Bonnie

Yippee, yay!

Blaziken Mask

And not a moment too soon.

Korrina

Sorry to keep you waiting.

Diantha

I'd say that thing won't stop, even if we ask it nicely.

Viola

It sure is big. Now, don't get distracted, okay, Grant?

Grant

Yeah, yeah. Though, it would be a really good wall to climb on.

Ramos

That plant is quite strong. We must stay focused. Let's go, Gogoat.

Valerie

Horrendous energy is everywhere.

Olympia

It must not make contact with the Sundial.

Wulfric

Then that means one thing. Let's go full throttle right from the start.

[The Giant Rock continues moving.]

Diantha

That didn't even slow it down. Let's fall back and come up with a different plan.

[Everybody except Team Rocket meets up.]

Diantha

We all know the situation. Rescuing Chespie is our first priority.

Steven

Right. Let's use the Pokemon's moves to get into the Giant Rock. The target is there.

[Cut to the Giant Rock - with the Water Shuriken still stuck on, marking the target.]

Steven

That Water Shuriken.

Diantha

We'll attack with our combined power.

Steven

It is truly a sincere honor to battle alongside you.

Diantha

Steven, the honor is all mine.

Professor Sycamore

We couldn't have asked for a stronger group for help. Thank you.

Korrina

Hi, Ash!

Ash Ketchum

Korrina!

Korrina

So this is the famous Greninja?

Ash Ketchum

Sure is. Its power merges with mine.

Korrina

Excellent.

Olympia

And now you have finally made that power yours.

Ash Ketchum

That's right.

Diantha

Everyone, you're looking at the final line of defense. We cannot let it come in contact with the Sundial. Remember that at all times.

Everyone

Hmm.

[Malva deploys Houndoom from her Pokeball.]

Malva

Let's go, Houndoom.

Ash Ketchum

Serena, take care of Mairin and Bonnie.

Ash's Pikachu

Pika!

Clemont

And thanks a lot for your help.

Serena

You've got it! Leave it to me!

Braixen

Braixen!

Bonnie

Now, all of you, be careful.

Mairin

Alain?

Alain

It's okay. I know I'll come back, and Chespie with me.

Mairin

(Tearful) OK.

[Cut to Team Rocket's helicopter.]

James

Meowth, got to catch them all.

Meowth

Jessie

Hm! Viewers the world over, this is history! Watch as these titans tackle the threat to Kalos and the world!

Narrator

In order to rescue Chespie and prevent the Giant Rock from coming into contact with the Sundial, the most powerful team in Kalos has gathered together in a battle for the future of the world. What will be Chespie's fate?- What will be the future of Kalos? the final decisive battle to come, as the journey continues.
