XY137: Coming Apart at the Dreams!/Transcript

This is a transcript of the Pokémon the Series: XYZ episode: "Coming Apart at the Dreams!".

Narrator

Lumiose City is under a vicious attack by the sudden appearance of destructive creeping vines everywhere, an attack masterminded by Lysandre and Team Flare using the Legendary Pokemon, Zygarde. While Clemont, Bonnie and Serena were heading over to Prism Tower, Ash was taken captive there. And Squishy, seeing the destruction of Lumiose City, has transformed into Zygarde. Now it stands before the other Zygarde who is under Team Flare's control, in order to stop this vicious rampage.

Ash Ketchum

Wow, Squishy is Zygarde?

Lysandre

Yes, Zygarde is the Legendary Pokemon who watches over the world and punishes those who dare to disrupt its order. You are witnessing the rage of Zygarde as well as Team Flare. This world will start all over again.

[Alain looks at him annoyed.]

Lysandre

Soon enough, the other Zygarde will come around to our way of thinking, then it will turn red with rage.

Ash Ketchum

(Angrily) No, you're wrong! Squishy would never think like that!

Ash's Pikachu

(Angrily) Pika, Pika!

Ash Ketchum

Alain, what's going on with all this? Say something!

Alain

...

[Cut to Jessie, reporting from a helicopter.]

Jessie

Look at that. At the center of the vines winding their way through Lumiose are two giant Pokemon. It is believed they are Zygarde, the Legendary Pokemon.

[As the two Zygarde continue to stare at each other, the green Zygarde screeches and charges at the red one, blasting it into a building.]

Everyone

Huh?

Bonnie

Squishy, no!

Bryony

Stop getting distracted!

Aliana

Druddigon, use Dark Pulse!

[Druddigon aims Dark Pulse at the heroes, but Garchomp surges forward and blocks the move. Everyone from both teams gasp.]

Garchomp

Garchomp!

[Sycamore and Mairin arrive.]

Professor Sycamore

That was a close one.

Clemont

Professor Sycamore!

Serena

Mairin!

Bryony

What? I thought...

Aliana

That little brat.

Mairin

Professor, look.

Professor Sycamore

Zygarde...

[The red Zygarde recovers.]

Zygarde

That is enough! Wake up!

[The opening theme and title card plays.]

[Back to the two Zygarde. The Green Zygarde roars.]

Bonnie

Squishy! Zygarde! Please listen to what Squishy's telling you.

Aliana

Maybe both Pokemon...

Bryony

..might be more of a challenge. Liepard, use Shadow Claw!

[Liepard gets ready.]

Blaziken Mask

Blaziken, use Blaze Kick!

[The Pokemon collide with their two moves. Clemont throws two Pokeballs.]

Clemont

Help us out, Bunnelby and Chespin!

Clembot

Go, Heliolisk!

[Heliolisk, Bunnelby and Chespin stand alongside each other.]

Clemont

All set?

Chespin

Chespin!

Bunnelby

Bunnelby!

Clemont

Luxray, use Wild Charge!

[Luxray charges up his body and approaches the targets.]

Bryony and Aliana

Dodge it!

[Both Team Flare's Pokemon jump to dodge the attack.]

Clemont

Chespin, use Pin Missile!

Clembot

Heliolisk, use Dragon Tail!

Chespin

Chespiiin!

[Chespin executes Pin Missile, hitting Liepard as it lands. Druddigon is hit by Dragon Tail as it lands.]

Bryony

Now, Liepard! Dark Pulse!

[Liepard!]

Clemont

(To Bunnelby) Use Mud Shot!

Bunnelby

Bunnelbyyy!

[Bunnelby loads up Mud Shot from between his ears and releases, exploding on the ground.]

Blaziken Mask

Blaziken, use Flamethrower!

[Blaziken activates Flamethrower.]

Aliana

Druddigon, dodge and use Dragon Claw!

[Druddigon's arm glows green and hits the ground with Dragon Claw as Blaziken dodges the attack.]

Clemont

(Groans)

Mairin

Serena, did you see Alain and Ash? They said they were going to Prism Tower.

Serena

Not yet. I haven't seen them.

Mairin

If something bad happened...

Serena

You don't have to worry about Alain and Ash.- You know they're both strong.

[-Mairin breaks down crying.]

Serena

Huh?

[Cut to Mairin, with tears falling.]

Mairin

I'm still so worried about Chespie, too.

Serena

Aww.

[Mairin flashes back.]

Mairin

Chespie's been asleep for quite a while. It won't wake up.

Serena

Oh, no, Mairin. I'm so sorry.

Mairin

Don't be. It'll be fine. Right now, Chespie's being treated at Lysandre Labs. They're awesome.

Serena

If there's anything we can do, just let us know. We'll do whatever we can to help.

[The flashback ends. Cut to Serena, with an upset look, which tuns into a determined look. She grabs Mairin's hand.]

Serena

Mairin, Chespie's at Lysandre Labs, right?

Mairin

Yeah, right.

Serena

Clemont?

Clemont

Of course you should go. Don't worry. We can handle everything around here. Take care of Mairin and Chespie.

Serena

Clemont, thanks! (To Mairin) Let's go. Chespie needs us.

Mairin

OK.

Professor Sycamore

I'll go too. I've got a car at the back of the lab.

[Suddenly, they are struck by a Dark Pulse, causing them to scream.]

Bryony

(Angrily) I don't know what you're up to, but we will not be ignored. Liepard, Shadow Claw!

[Clemont faces the Flare grunts, holding the rest of the back with an arm signal.]

Clemont

All right, let's go!

[Sycamore returns Garchomp back to his Pokeball.]

Serena

Thanks, Clemont.

Professor Sycamore

Blaziken Mask, take care of this!

Blaziken Mask

Leave it to me!

[Sycamore, Mairin and Serena leave.]

Aliana

Well, then, I guess we'll just leave them to Celosia.

Bryony

Then that leaves us to do our job the way we always do.

Clemont

(Justified) I remind you, you're up against the leader of the Lumiose Gym.

[Team Rocket peep through the vines with their recording equipment.]

James

Lysandre Labs.

Meowth

Could that be the glasses gang's secret base?

Jessie

Could be. We don't need glasses to look.

[They snicker. Cut to Lysandre and Alain.]

Lysandre

Alain, this is all thanks to you. Mega Evolution energy gives us power, the power to control Zygarde.

[Alain reacts in fury, along with Ash. Flashbacks of various Mega-evolution scenes play.]

Lysandre

The Mega Evolution energy you gathered is proving to be quite useful in destroying this imperfect world.

[the flashbacks end.]

Lysandre

Just look. There is no tomorrow for this world. When the sun rises next, it will be brand new. How beautiful the end of this world is. We are truly taking the first step towards peace.

[Alain's eyes judder in anger. He falls to his knees. Ash's eyes judder in anger.]

Ash Ketchum

Alain...!

[Alain is confounded in rage.]

Alain

Mairin... Chespin... Is this the reason I had all those battles? All of them for this?!

[Alain pounds the ground in fury. Cut to Ash.]

Mairin

(In Ash's thoughts) You see, Chespie's been asleep for quite a while. It won't wake up.

Ash Ketchum

That's it. That's why Alain did this.

Lysandre

For Chespie's sake. For Mairin's sake too. Your wish had pure intent. A truly noble wish indeed.

[Lysandre, Mairin, and Serena continue running. Team Rocket block their path, with their recording equipment, causing them to halt.]

Jessie

Hold on! What are you doing in such a dangerous place?

Mairin

We have to go to Lysandre Labs. My precious Chespie is there.

[Jessie and James shudder in panic.]

James

You jest! Why, that's terrible.

[Jessie and James show 'cool' looks.]

Meowth

So step on the gas.

[Jessie and James show another 'cool' pose.]

Jessie

We happen to be from Lumiose City TV.

[Jessie and James show their normal pose.]

Jessie

Perfect timing. Where to?

[Cut to the parked helicopter.]

Jessie

We'll whisk you there in our news copter.

Lysandre

That'd be a big help.

Mairin and Serena

Thanks so much.

Jessie

Think nothing of it.

Team Rocket

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

[The helicopter starts swinging its propellers and takes off.]

James

Blue yonder, here we come!

Jessie

And what are we heading for? (Puts her hand up) Team Flare's secret base!

Serena

Wait - what did you say?

Team Rocket

Ah!

Jessie

I said you've got flair and a lucky face! (Shudders)

[More root vines grow from and chase the Green Zygarde, which glows into an aura with sparks and speeds around the sky, trying to evade the attack. Bonnie watches on, looking worried. The green Zygarde breaks the vines in half.]

Bonnie

Squishy... I hope it hears you. And your heart.

Dedenne

Nenene!

[The green Zygarde charges into and hits the red Zygarde. The collision crashes across the land close to where Bonnie is.]

Bonnie

Oh, Squishy!

Dedenne

Dene!

Bonnie

(Determined) OK.

[Bonnie walks forward. Cut to another area of Lumiose, where residents are evacuating while the vines continue to cause destruction.]

Diantha

Hurry up!

Man

Thank you, Diantha!

Woman

You're the champion!

Sawyer

Diantha, you're got to let us help you, please!

Diantha

Sawyer?

Shauna

We can't just stand by and watch.

Tierno

Yeah, we want to help you.

Trevor

Please, Diantha.

[Diantha pauses, thinking to herself.]

Diantha

In that case, rescuing children and the elderly comes first. Can you bring them here?

[The team of four react in approval.]

Trevor

All right!

Shauna

We'll take care of it.

Tierno

All right!

Sawyer

You can count on us.

[Back at the helicopter.]

James

If we take control...

Jessie

Of their secret base...

Meowth

Team Rocket is copping the keys to Kalos and then we'll be running the place.

[The green Zygarde crashes into the wall. It screeches as it recovers. It glows into a green aura and charges into its target, while the red Zygarde fires back using vines. The green Zygarde dodges the attacks but repels itself upwards, causing the vines to trap and constrict it. Cut to Xerosic, laughing.]

Xerosic

It won't be long before you become ours as well.

Lysandre

So, Ash, I'm going to use you Bond Phenomenon in service to my new world. You're able to gain the powerful strength without a keystone. Purely through your bond. When I saw that, I was thrilled. Ash, you have shown me there are limitless possibilities with Pokemon still.

[Two robotic insect-shaped cameras appear either side of Lysandre, turned on.]

Lysandre

And I want that power for myself.

[The robotic cameras shoot lasers at Ash and Greninja. Ash and Greninja strain, while Alain stare in shock.]

Lysandre

The energy from this light is powerful enough to control Zygarde, but now, Ash, now, Greninja, I'm also going to control your Bond Phenomenon.

Ash Ketchum

(Straining) No way!

Lysandre

From this point on, both of you will answer to me.

[The lasers continue to shoot Ash and Greninja. They continue straining.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Despairing) Pika!

Noivern

(Despaired grunt)

Hawlucha

Lucha!

Goodra

Goodra!

Talonflame

Uh...

Ash Ketchum

(Straining)

Alain

Lysandre, please stop this.

Ash's Pikachu

(Despairing) Pika Pik!

[Ash and Greninja recover while still inside the red aura.]

Alain

Huh?

Lysandre

Huh?

Ash Ketchum

There's no way you're ever going to control the two of us!

Lysandre

You still don't understand, do you, Ash? When the current world becomes a thing of the past, you two will become the chosen ones who will guide all of humanity.

Ash Ketchum

We're never going to become any of that! We're not ever going to change. Alain, I don't know what happened to you, but you've got to stop all this now! I don't care about what you've done. I believe in the Alain I know!

Alain

(Gasps)

Ash Ketchum

I really care about this world. I care about the people and Pokemon who call this world home. And you won't destroy it! No way!

[The camera zooms in through Ash's eye. A stone drops into the lake, creating a whirlpool. Ash and Greninja, in a blue light, merge together. The whirlpool appears at Prism Tower, surrounding Ash and Greninja.]

Ash Ketchum

Battle me, Lysandre!

[Ash and Greninja scream, as the whirlpool extends over the sky.]

[The segment "Who's that Pokemon?" plays.]

[Cut to Ash and Greninja, screaming with all their might as the whirlpool gets stronger. Soon, the security tags around Ash and Greninja to break, causing Alain to gasp. The whirlpool turns into a ball. Greninja lands, also being freed from captivity. The signature cross appears on his back, completing Greninja's transformation into Ash-Greninja. Ash and Greninja, now freed, stare at Lysandre, until Ash slumps to the ground, held by Alain.]

Alain

Ash, no! Are you okay?

Ash Ketchum

Alain!

[Lysandre is impressed.]

Lysandre

Truly brilliant. Mega Evolution energy can't stop your bond.

Alain

(To Ash) Because of you, my head is clear.

Ash Ketchum

Awesome!

Alain

We've got to stop this. Together!

Ash Ketchum

Now you're talking!

[Alain draws a Pokeball.]

Alain

Charizard, let's go!

Charizard

(Grunts)

Alain

Use Dragon Claw to free Pikachu and the rest!

[Charizard roars and breaks the tags off all of Ash's Pokemon.]

Ash's Pikachu

(Jubilant) Pika!

Ash Ketchum

You ready to do this?

[All Pokemon call out in agreement.]

Lysandre

Do you honestly think you can defeat me?

Alain

We must. We're going to prove to you that protecting someone takes real strength...BY BEATING YOU!

Lysandre

Alain, you really disappoint me. None of you will be created in the new world I'm creating.

Ash Ketchum

(To Lysandre, angrily) Needed or not needed, who are you to make that decision?

Lysandre

I've got no choice.

[The jet pack with weapons and armor are installed on Lysandre's back and arms.]

Lysandre

You will be stopped.

[Lysandre flies onto the Prism Tower opposite Ash and his Pokemon.]

Lysandre

And I'll do it myself.

[Meanwhile, the Team Flare grunts continue their battle.]

Bryony

Liepard, use Shadow Claw!

Aliana

And Druddigon, use Dragon Claw!

[Liepard and Druddigon get up and approach the opposition with their moves.]

Clembot

Heliolisk, use Flash!

[Heliolisk flashes, causing Liepard to collide with Druddigon.]

Clemont

Luxray, use Wild Charge!

[Luxray hits and blasts both Pokemon with Wild Charge.]

Clemont

Chespin, Pin Missile! Bunnelby, Mud Shot!

[Both moves hit both of Team Flare's Pokemon, creating a dust cloud.]

Aliana

Druddigon!

Bryony

Liepard!

[As the dust clears. Liepard and Druddigon struggle together.]

Aliana

Now return!

[Both Team Flare Grunts return their Pokemon. Immediately afterwards, they are constricted and hanged by metal constrictors attaches to pins.]

Aliana

Hey!

Bryony

Let me go!

[Cut to Clembot, clasping his hands.]

Clembot

Targets have been captured.

Clemont

Excellent job, Clembot.

Bryony

This is your fault.

Aliana

No, this is your fault.

[They look away, disgusted.]

Aliana and Bryony

Hmph!

[Meanwhile, the green Zygarde screeches while being held by the red Zygarde. Bonnie notices, becoming worried.]

Bonnie

Squishy!

[The green Zygarde struggles to break free. A copy of Bonnie lights up, expands and fades out. Bonnie sweats, falling to her knees and starts praying. She then stands up and looks at the top of the Prism Tower.]

Bonnie

Oh...

[There is a hole at the top of the tower. A close up shows the control system being used, operated by members of Team Flare. Xerosic signals a hand up. The control system loads up a laser beam. As Xerosic signals down, the laser is fired at the green Zygarde, causing it to screech. At the same time, more vines break through the ground and attack Bonnie and Dedenne, causing them both to scream, but are caught to safety by Mega Blaziken. It puts them down. Blaziken Mask puts his hands onto her shoulder.]

Blaziken Mask

Young lady, why were you there all alone?!

Bonnie

(Afraid, hyperventilating) I'm scared Squishy's... Squishy's going to lose.

[The green Zygarde struggles to resist the reign of terror aimed at it. Bonnie blocks her ears, confounded.]

Bonnie

(Despairing) No! Squishy, no! Nooo!

Blaziken Mask

What's going on, Bonnie?

Bonnie

Oh, what happened to my Squishy?

[The firing stops. Xerosic watches on, delighted.]

Xerosic

True success. (Over Lysandre's communicator) Lysandre, the other Zygarde is under our control now!

Ash Ketchum

It can't be.

Ash's Pikachu

Pika!

Lysandre

Ha-ha-ha-ha. My world of peace will be created much faster now.

Ash Ketchum

How can you say that "peace" has anything to do with this?

Lysandre

What would you know about peace? You don't have a clue when it comes to the ugly parts of the world.

[Lysandre flashes back to the ruined areas of Lumiose.]

Lysandre

There once was a time when I reached out to help people. People who were in need and suffering.

[The flashback ends. Cut to Ash.]

Lysandre

And they rejoiced, but that didn't last long. They all began to take my help for granted and expected it like they had some sort of right.

[Lysandre flashes back to several people with mouths wide open.]

Lysandre

The people only became louder and louder with their demands. And my help actually brought about their arrogance.

[the flashback ends. Cut to a close up of Lysandre, then to the two Zygarde. The other Zygarde, under Team Flare's control, turns red,]

Lysandre

Foolish, arrogant people. It would only be a matter of time before their world would be destroyed by their entitlement. That's why I'm going to create a new world.

[The two Zygarde repel.]

Lysandre

A world of peace.

[Cut to Lysandre.]

Lysandre

It's time for a new start, to create my Utopian dream. But that dream- has no room for you!

[-Lysandre deploys the red Gyarados and Male Pyroar from his Pokeballs.]

Ash Ketchum

Gyarados and Pyroar.

[Lysandre's goggles lock on and light up.]

Lysandre

Now, Gyarados, release your Mega Evolution energy!

[Lysandre activates his Mega ring, which glows bright gold with beams. Gyarados transforms into its Mega Forme. Alain also activates his Mega Ring.]

Alain

Respond to my call. Keystone beyond evolution! Mega evolve!

[Charizard also transforms into its Mega forme: Mega Charizard X. It roars.]

Ash Ketchum

OK, let's do this!

Ash's Pikachu

Pika!

[Meanwhile, the helicopter continues flying.]

Mairin

Over there!

[The helicopter makes a right turn. At Team Flare's headquarters.]

Mable

Hm? Oh, you're back. How was Lumiose?

Celosia

It was a real festival of vines. Too bad you had to stay here. Mabel.

Mable

A media copter is approaching.

Celosia

Media copter?

Mable

You know the drill. Let's give our guests a warm welcome.

[Clemont types a code in an attempt to unlock the door. The code machine buzzes.]

Clemont

It appears that the lock code has been changed.

Clembot

I can handle this.

[Clembot attaches two fingers into the socket. Clembot's eyes reveal a series of passcodes being scrolled.]

Clembot

Analyzing all possible codes.

[The Zygarde moves away. Cut to Bonnie.]

Bonnie

Oh...

[Cut to the top of the Prism Tower. A Battle Royal begins.]

Lysandre

Pyroar and Gyarados, use Incinerate!

[Both Pokemon pull off their moves.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu and Goodra, use Thunderbolt and Dragon Pulse!

[The moves collide, creating an explosion and a plume of smoke.]

Ash Ketchum

Greninja, use Cut!

Lysandre

All right, Pyroar, use Hyper Beam!

Ash Ketchum

Noivern, Boomburst!

[The moves collide, creating another explosion.]

Alain

Charizard, Dragon Claw! Let's go!

[Charizard aims Dragon Claw at Pyroar.]

Lysandre

Gyarados, use Stone Edge!

[Gyarados generates glowing stones which protrude through the ground. One of them hits Charizard on the chest.]

Ash Ketchum

Noivern and Hawlucha, use Dragon Claw and Karate Chop!

Hawlucha

Hawlucha!

Lysandre

All right, Pyroar, use Fire Fang!

[Pyroar directly hits Noivern with Fire Fang. Hawlucha approaches Pyroar with Karate Chop, but Pyroar dodges the attack. Hawlucha is able to hit Pyroar at the second attempt, dropping him down.]

Ash Ketchum

Pikachu, use Thunderbolt, now!

[Pikachu executes Thunderbolt on Pyroar, creating another explosion. Noivern, Hawlucha and Pikachu land safely. Meanwhile, Bonnie goes after the formerly green Zygarde, panting in exhaustion.]

Narrator

In the face of great danger, everyone is doing what they can, battling in their own ways. What will become of Ash and Alain as they face off against Lysandre?

Ash Ketchum

We're not going to let you win! We'll save Squishy. Your selfishness will not destroy the world!

Lysandre

Ah...

Narrator

The greatest threat is Kalos history is about to move into an even more critical stage as the journey continues.

[The caption "TO BE CONTINUED..." appears at the bottom of the screen. The credits appear.]
