Wikstrom is a member of Kalos' Elite Four group. He specializes in using Steel-type Pokémon. In the Battle Chateau, he is known as a Duke, one of the highest of ranks overall.
Appearance[]
Wikstrom is a tall, heavily built man with black spiked hair and pale skin. His eyes are bright blue. He is fully clad in silver and gold knight's armor, and he has a six-pointed golden star on his forehead.
Personality[]
Wikstrom is a kind and noble trainer. He gracefully accepts defeat after battling with the player, and possesses great wisdom. He speaks almost fully in a medieval dialect, wearing a knight's armor as testament to his high honor and courage.
Etymology[]
The name Wikstrom comes from "strong" and the flowering shrub genus "Wikstroemia".
His Japanese name, Ganpi, comes from 頑丈 (ganjō, Japanese for "sturdy" or "strong") and Ganpi, a type of Japanese shrub.
Biography[]
The player character can challenge Wikstrom in the Kalos League since he is a part of the Elite Four. Wikstrom will use four Pokémon which are all Steel type.

- After being defeated, one of Wikstrom's lines contains the phrase "my will, which even shakes spears." This is likely a reference to the famous English Elizabethan and Jacobean playwright William Shakespeare, given Wikstrom's antiquated manner of speaking.
