Wedgehurst is a town in southern Galar. It is the second town in Sword and Shield, after Postwick.

Description

Wedgehurst is a small town that mans a Pokémon Center, the Research Lab, a train station, a boutique, a Berry Shop, with two residential houses.

Wedgehurst Station

Wedgehurst Station is located in the southwest of the town.

The player character can catch a train from here to the following locations:

• Meetup Spot
• Motostoke (once the player has visited Motostoke)
• Hulbury (once the player has visited Hulbury)
• Hammerlocke (once the player has visited Hammerlocke)
• Route 10 (once the player has visited Route 10)
• Wyndon (once the player has visited Wyndon)
• Armor Station (by showing the rail staff an Armor Pass)
• Crown Tundra Station (by showing the rail staff a Crown Pass)

Once the game has been updated to version 1.1.0, Klara/Avery will appear at the station, followed by a Galarian Slowpoke. Once the Slowpoke has been caught, Klara/Avery will board a train to the Isle of Armor and leave.

The Pokémon Center is located east of the station.

Pokémon Research Lab

The Pokémon Research Lab

The Pokémon Research Lab is Professor Magnolia's laboratory. It is located in the southeast of the town.

There are two sets of bookshelves on the laboratory's second floor that the player can interact with to read. The first set reads:

"What Is the Dynamax Phenomenon?"
This phenomenon, in which Pokémon take on
gigantic forms, has only been observed in the
Galar region. Moreover, it only seems to occur
in specific locations and under set conditions.

The second set of books reads:

"On the Gigantification of Pokémon"
While the general principal holds that Pokémon
grow stronger and larger by evolving, it is also
true that simply making oneself appear larger
is another survival strategy with merit.
