Trivia
- While the Watmel Berry's tag description claims that it can reach more than 20 inches, its size is labelled 9.8 inches—smaller than several other Berries such as the Durin Berry.
Origin
The Watmel Berry is based on the watermelon, which it also gets its name from. (Specifically, it may be based on a round watermelon. Round watermelons are typically sweeter than oval watermelons, which the Watmel Berry's extreme sweetness may originate from.) Its descriptions of being able to grow into over 20 inches reference the fact that cultivated watermelons can be very large and more than 24 inches in diameter.
