This Spritzee is a Fairy-type Pokémon owned by Valerie.

Spritzee first appeared in Valerie's gym with Sylveon, Mr. Mime, and Mawile. Spritzee looked a bit upset, but happily greeted Serena and Bonnie. Spritzee was used to battle Sawyer's Bagon. Spritzee was immune to Bagon's Dragon Breath and started avoiding its Headbutt attacks. Spritzee easily won with a single Dazzling Gleam.[1]

Spritzee was used as Valerie's second Pokémon in a Gym battle against Ash, after Sylveon was defeated. It fought against Ash's Fletchinder and managed to defeat it with the effects of Trick Room, canceling its Steel Wing and Flame Charge attacks. Spritzee used Gyro Ball and Dazzling Gleam, while Fletchinder continued using Flame Charge. Spritzee used Moonblast, defeating Fletchinder. Ash sent his Hawlucha to continue the battle. Hawlucha used Karate Chop, while Spritzee dodged and used Trick Room once more and attacked it with Moonblast. Hawlucha used X-Scissor on Spritzee, who dodged and used Gyro Ball. While Hawlucha took the hit, it binded itself to Spritzee. Powered by this spinning, Hawlucha used X-Scissor, negating Spritzee's Dazzling Gleam and shattering the Trick Room. Hawlucha used Flying Press, canceling Spritzee's Moonblast and delivered a massive blow of High Jump Kick, causing Ash to win the Gym match.[2]
While Sawyer looked at his notes, flashbacks of Ash's battle against Valerie emerged.[3] Valerie and her Pokémon, including Spritzee, watched Lysandre's broadcast from Lumiose City.[4]
Valerie, Spritzee and the Gym Leaders came to stop the Giant Rock. Together, they launched a blast that hit the Giant Rock, enough to free Braixen, Alain's Mega Charizard, Ash-Greninja, Steven's Mega Metagross and Professor Sycamore's Mega Garchomp.[5] Spritzee helped in the attack against the Giant Rock, by using Moonblast against the plants. After Ash and Alain rescued Chespie, the Giant Rock stopped, allowing the group to fire an attack to destroy the Giant Rock. However, the Giant Rock retaliated, so Spritzee used Light Screen to protect the group. Spritzee watched as Lysandre appeared while Squishy and Z-2 combined their efforts to destroy the Giant Rock and defeat the villainous Team Flare leader once and for all.[6]
Ash remembered his gym battle against Valerie and her Spritzee and them fighting the Giant Rock with the rest when he was reflecting back on his journey.[7]
