When a player's team spends too much time on any given dungeon floor in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, they will be forced out of the dungeon by an unseen force. Three warning messages appear as well as a gust of wind blowing leaves around. Warning messages are as follows:
- "Something's stirring..."
- "Something's approaching..."
- "It's getting closer!"
A final message appears which then you will be forced out with the final message being "It's right nearby! It's gusting hard!"[1]
