Ukulele Pichu is the Partner Pokémon for the Player in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. He always carries his trademark ukulele that creates a special sound that connects with Pokémon when electricity runs through it.
Biography[]
Games[]
It is first encountered on Dolce Island where it is leading a group of other Pokémon with its music. It hides in the bushes when the Pokémon Pinchers show up to "pinch" all of the Pokémon on Dolce Island. After it witnesses the capture of all its friends and spots the Player, it attacks them. After Pichu is captured and calmed down, it travels with the Player and Booker to Renbow Island in search of its kidnapped friends. During the Rasp Cavern mission, Pichu's ukulele is broken during a confrontation with Pinchers and the Player has to retrieve special wood for Booker (who built the ukulele) to fix it. After the ukulele is fixed, Pichu joins the Player as their partner Pokémon to rescue his friends from the Pinchers. After the Dolce Island Pokémon are rescued from the Pincher's Submarine, Pichu choses to remain with the Player and joins them for the rest of game.

Ukulele Pichu's Pokémon Assist[]
Unlike other partner Pokémon, Pichu has a very unique Pokémon Assist. Ukulele Pichu will randomly appear at the bottom of the screen and can be placed on the field by tapping it. When Pichu is placed on the field, it strums notes on its ukulele that fill up the friendship gage when they hit a Pokémon. The Assist is upgraded throughout the story, becoming stronger and extending its duration.
