This Swampert is a Water/Ground-type Pokémon Dome Ace Tucker used in his tag-battle against Ash.
Biography[]
Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire[]
Tucker sent Swampert and Arcanine in a Double Battle against Ash's Swellow and Corphish. Swellow started off with Quick Attack, to which Arcanine jumped atop of Swampert to use Extreme Speed to counter and hit Swellow. Corphish fired Bubble Beam on Arcanine, but Swampert stood in front of Arcanine and absorbed the hit with Protect. Swellow attempted to use Aerial Ace, but was once more stopped by Arcanine's Extreme Speed. Corphish attempted to use the moment to strike Arcanine, but was hit by Swampert's Mud Shot. Mounting offense, Swampert used Water Gun, to which Corphish and Swellow dodged. Corphish went to use Crabhammer, and collided with Swampert's Dynamic Punch, causing both sides to be blown away by the collision. Arcanine simply leapt across Swampert, using Flamethrower to counter Swellow's Aerial Ace.
However, Swellow used Double Team, making Arcanine miss. Arcanine simply fired Fire Blast to eliminate the illusions, while the real Swellow dodged. Swampert prepared to fire a Water Pulse, to which Swellow went to use Quick Attack. However, the latter was once more stopped by Arcanine's Extreme Speed. Corphish went to use Crabhammer, but was struck by Swampert, who launched Water Pulse. The attack trapped Corphish and Swellow into a whirlpool, whereas Arcanine used Fire Blast to trap them in fire/water combination. Despite taking severe damage, after falling down, Swellow and Corphish stood up, still able to battle. Arcanine fired a Flamethrower and Swampert launched Water Gun, which Corphish stopped with its Bubble Beam, releasing a bit of steam.
Swampert went to use Dynamic Punch, to which Swellow went to use Quick Attack. Arcanine immediately went to counter with Extreme Speed, to which Swellow used Double Team. Arcanine thus struck an illusion, and accidentally bashed into Swampert. Arcanine fired another Fire Blast, to which Corphish went atop of Swellow, who flew off. As it did so, Corphish used Bubble Beam against Fire Blast, releasing even more steam, which made Tucker and his team unable to see Swellow or Corphish. Swellow emerged with a Quick Attack, letting Corphish use Crabhammer, and used Aerial Ace. These two attacks struck Swampert and Arcanine, defeating them.[1] May was inspired by Tucker's Arcanine and Swampert's Fire/Water combination, as her Squirtle and Combusken combined Bubble and Fire Spin during the Grand Festival.[2]
Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl[]
Swampert appeared in a flashback with its Trainer when Ash recalled his journey to earn every symbol from the Battle Frontier.[3]
