A trainer class is a term used to describe a certain Pokémon Trainer in the core series. The majority of trainer classes specialize in the use of certain types of Pokémon and sometimes this is reflected in their class's name, such as Aroma Lady who specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Some trainer classes also describe the prowess of their skills, such as Ace Trainers and Veterans who usually possess strong Pokémon and intelligent AIs. A trainer class can also be a reflection of their personality and fashion sense.
