Toxic is Poison-type move introduced in Generation I. It has been TM06 since Generation I. In Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, it is available as TM27.

Games Description
GSC A poison move with increasing damage.
RSE Poisons the foe with an intensifying toxin.
FRLG A move badly poisons the foe. Its poison damage worsens every turn.
A move that leaves the target badly poisoned. Its poison damage worsens every turn.

In battle

Toxic poisons the target and worsens for each consecutive turn it is out. In a Double Battle, Toxic can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Toxic can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user. Toxic will have no effect on Poison and Steel-Type Pokémon or Pokémon with Immunity.

As of Generation VI, Toxic never misses if used by a Poison-type Pokémon.

Unlike other moves, Toxic can affect Pokémon which are using Dig.
