Effect

In battle

Toxic poisons the target and worsens for each consecutive turn it is out. In a Double Battle, Toxic can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Toxic can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user. Toxic will have no effect on Poison and Steel-Type Pokémon or Pokémon with Immunity.

As of Generation VI, Toxic never misses if used by a Poison-type Pokémon.

Unlike other moves, Toxic can affect Pokémon which are using Dig.
