Trivia
- Toxel is the first Baby Pokémon since Generation IV.
- Toxel and Mantyke are the only Baby Pokémon to have double weaknesses. Toxel has a double weakness against the Ground-type.
- Toxel and Toxtricity are the only Electric/Poison-type Pokemon.
Origin
Toxel may be based on different species of lizards or tree frogs, mostly likely the latter due to its Poison-typing. It may also be based on a human baby, as it is wearing a diaper and also has tantrums during its battle animations.
Etymology
Toxel is a portmanteau of toxic, electric, little, and possibly pixel (the smallest unit of a digital image) or voxel (the 3D equivalent of a pixel).
