Timer Ball is a type of Poké Ball used for catching Pokémon. For every ten turns that pass in a battle with a wild Pokémon, the chances of success for capturing the Pokémon increases. Its starting effectiveness is no better than that of a standard Poké Ball.

## Appearance

It has a black, white, and red top with the sides of the top half being black also along with what looks like a cooking timer type handle in orange pointing toward the button. It has a better catch rate the more turns there are before using it.

## Locations

### Generation VI

• In Generation III and IV, the catch rate is determined by the formula: $rate = \frac {x + 10}{10}$, where x is the number of turns passed.
• In Generation V, the formula has been altered: $rate = \frac {y + 1229}{4096}$, where y is the catch rate (x1 is the default).
