This Tyranitar is a rock/dark-type Pokémon owned by Factory Head Thorton.
Biography[]
As his first Pokémon in his battle against Platinum, Thorton brought out a Tyranitar, as she brought out a Loudred. Loudred used Stomp on Tyranitar's head. With it being able to resist the attack, Tyranitar brought its head up with so much power, it flung Loudred backwards. Loudred used Roar, which sent it back to Thorton. Thorton brought out a Ledian, which caused him to become mad. After Ledian was knocked out by Loudred's Focus Punch, Thorton brought Tyranitar back out as Platinum switched to a Kadabra. Thorton was shocked to see Tyranitar dealt damage from Kadabra's Psycho Cut. Platinum told him she had it use Miracle Eye before it attack, to which Thorton applauded her.[1] When Platinum questioned to herself how Kadabra was being inflicted damage, she realised that it was Tyranitar's ability, Sand Stream, with Thorton telling her that she was correct. Kadabra charged towards Tyranitar and used Ice Punch, knocking Tyranitar out with a single blow.[2]
