Error on Fairy Pokemon Coding

There is a mistake in the PokeBox template that those code appeared in the Pokemon pages appeared and they been categorized on those Non-Fairy Pokemon also.

I just saw that they looked like this on the bottom of the PokeBox template in the Pokemon pages looked like this: Fairy}}|fairy}}|}}, does anyone know did this happened in the PokeBox template?-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) FE4_Junior_Lord_Sprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 23:18, June 11, 2013 (UTC)

We are aware that this is happening. I'm actually looking into a way on how to get the template to appear nicer without being so large. – Jazzi (talk) 00:05, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

I think I found something that it might be possibly be that Fairy Code around in Line 91.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) FE4_Junior_Lord_Sprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 00:13, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

The template is actually undergoing revision currently. – Jazzi (talk) 00:14, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

- for everything

Even when the sections are filled in, some still have a "-" in them and will not show up the information. Major problem as most of the information on the infobox is not showing up which results in the article being far less informative and makes it look like we don't have the information (which we do). I have tried to look for the problem but I cannot seem to find anything. Rainbow Shifter 18:47, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

Fixed problem. Only use the "-" symbol if there is no data for that category on the item's page NOT HERE Gatorfan6 22:49, September 2, 2013 (UTC)

A Suggestion

I think it would be a better idea to add a "Hidden Ability" sub-tag under the "Ability" tag so as to differentiate the abilities more easily with out wasting space on the aritcle (it should be kept under if condition so that it won't show up when not utilized). If possible, i think it would be better to make the tags something like "ability1", "ability2", "hiddenability1" & "hiddenability2".

Similarly, the "Johto" and "Unova" dex numbering tags should also be divided to included the 2nd and 4th Gen number changes between "GSC" & "HGSS" for the "Johto" one and the change of numbers between "BW" & "B2W2" for the "Unova" one (using the if condition).

I know this would be a bit difficult to implement, but the result would look good and it would be more easier to enter the data when this template would be used.--Supratim1986 (talk) 11:27, October 23, 2013 (UTC)

If we do that then we would need to restructure it too because the entire left side is way too big as it is. 11:55, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Then why don't we shift the Evolves From & Evolves Into tag to either the center part or the right side. That should balance out things and would look viable as well. Also this way the left side won't look to large in-comparison to the other sides.--Supratim1986 (talk) 13:04, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Or we could get rid of the evolving part entirely and start using this lol. Possibility. 13:06, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
I think that would be better considering that we already have the Evolutionary Line tag and the Pokédex tag which somewhat covers the functions of Evolves From & Evolves Into for this template. Plus using that template you mentioned, we could easily mention the evolutions method as well in one place (like its on Serebii & Bulbapedia).--Supratim1986 (talk) 13:35, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Yup that was the point of it lol, see here. But one of the crats doesn't like how the bottom parts that shows how to evolve isn't in the box encompassing the rest of it and nothing I do puts them together, I even tried putting another box around the entire thing lol, any ideas? 13:32, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
I am not that good in coding works, but i would see if i could find any idea (for that i would have to understand the structure first).--Supratim1986 (talk) 13:35, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Perhaps... if I recoded it to use the navbox template... hmmm... 13:42, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Did you try putting the "how to evolve" part in between each of the evo tags, like evo1 → how1 → evo2 → how2 → evo3. I found a way, but i think you must have already tried that out.--Supratim1986 (talk) 13:50, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
I did but that crat didn't like it like that. 14:03, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
It works now! Ok so now that there is something else to display evolutions how would you restructure the PokeBox? 18:12, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
For now i believe removing those options from the PokéBox would be a obvious start. Then adding Capture Rate & Experience Growth to the right side (i feel these 2 fields are important). After that lets see how things works out and then if anything else is needed to be added, then they could be added later when needed. Also, it seems that there is no need to make the changes which i suggested first because i saw that there was another way around to make that part simple.
As for the Evolution Template, i believe that now we would have to add "how3" & "evo4" option as well because of this whole MegaEvo concept. Also apart from the "evo1", all the others options should be under if condition (even the "how" ones), since we have a lot of pokemons who have no evolution or have only one evolution, as well as some who have Split Evo's like Eevee.
Also could you update the "Usage" field with all the proper options so that they could be utilized more easily.
Since i am new here, i don't know a lot of things so i wanted to ask if we had an "Alternate Form" template or not. If we don't have one, then it would be better to create one which could be used for pokemons like Arceus, Rotom, Vivillon, etc. Plus we could add Gender Difference & Shiny option in it as well. I could try and make one, using some of the other templates as an example but not sure if it would be good, since at my present (mostly self-learned) skill level, i can mostly do minor adjustments but could make a template if i find a good example or base to utilize.--Supratim1986 (talk) 20:33, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Mega is just an alternate form, like Shaymin's Sky form, it isn't really a new evolution since it just goes right back to the regular form. I will update the usage field once I have the time to think up the different things. For now though we are talking about the pokebox. Personally I think all of the dex info should be taken out of this box entirely, maybe added to something at the bottom of the page instead... 21:17, October 23, 2013 (UTC)
Let's move this discussion to here because people can't seem to see this one. 11:57, October 24, 2013 (UTC)

Evolves Into

In the pages, in the evointo line, we only put the Pokémon it evolves into, for example, in Golbat we only write Crobat. I suggest that we should change that, to make us write it with the [[]], because it doesn't look okay with Pokémon that can evolve into two or more Pokémon, like:

All of these Pokémon can evolve into two, three or eight different Pokémon. Also, in Pokémon like Combee, we can clear that only female Combee can evolve into Vespiquen or that only male Kirlia can evolve into Gallade. $ Adrian $ $ Perry GZ $ 23:09, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

I'll try working on a roundabout way to do it. If anything else, we can do what you suggested and use a bot to add in the brackets on the pages. MissingNo.GhostSpriteLord of Shadows Words mean nothing! 23:30, February 13, 2014 (UTC)
I fixed the issue of the brackets appearing on Pokémon pages with more than one evolution. I'm not sure yet about the specifics of evolution being added in, though, since there was discussion of making this template look better, and I think they had a way to show how it evolved. Sadly it seems that that discussion died... /: 05:05, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Generation Categorisation/{{#if:|| showing on pages

Can't edit this but I think there needs to be two more braces to close the end of this segment- so there's 16}} instead of 14}} Jazzcookie (talk) 17:41, February 27, 2019 (UTC)
