These Swirlix are a group of fairy-type Pokémon that appeared in A Battle by Any Other Name!.
Biography[]
During their debut, the five Swirlix attacked Serena and Fennekin aggressively. Fennekin tried to fight back, but they spat their cotton strings to tangled her instead. However, Serena has Fennekin, who was freed from their strings, used Flamethrower on them, but they dodged and flew off.
Later, Ash, Pikachu, Clemont, Bonnie, Miette and Slurpuff saw them and noticed that the five Swirlix began to feel scared and wanted to run away when they saw a humongous machine behind them. Unfortunately, they and Pikachu were caught by Team Rocket, and they went spinning inside part of the Octillery machine.
