Sweet Honey Trees are trees found in Sinnoh. They become "sweet" when the player coats them with Honey. These trees, when coated with Honey and left for a certain amount of time, will attract Pokémon, including some that can only found on these trees. The rate at which Pokémon can be encountered depends on the values of the player's game; also, certain trees may yield a Munchlax, which can then change the rates of the other possible Pokémon. The player can buy Honey from a man standing in Floaroma Meadow for a small amount of Pokémon Dollars. In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Honey costs 100 for one jar, and in Platinum, Honey can be bought at either one for 100, or ten for 1,000.
When left alone for a while, the tree can be seen shaking. When the player interacts with the tree, a wild Pokémon usually appears. Many of the Pokémon found are often rare Pokémon, like Munchlax, but other times, they are common Pokémon such as Wurmple.
