Striaton City is a small urban city in Unova region. To the east of the city lies the Dreamyard, an abandoned factory site. In the western part of the town is a public garden leading to Route 3. In this city, you'll find the region's first Gym, with the Gym Leader dependent on which Starter Pokémon you choose. Professor Juniper's friend, Dr. Fennel, researches Pokémon inside the lab here. Tips for beginner trainers are abundant in the Pokémon Trainers' School, which is to the left of the Pokémon Center.
The Gym Leader is at the Trainers' School, and you'll need to head there before you can challenge the Gym.
