Stardust is an item introduced in the Generation II games.

Description[]

Stardust is classified as a valuable item, meaning that it serves no gameplay purpose, although it can be sold at a relatively high price. In the Generation II games and their remakes, Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version, Stardust costs Poké Dollar900. In Pokémon Black Version only, the Stardust costs Poké Dollar10000. Prior to Generation VII, Stardust can be sold for Poké Dollar1000, but since Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the Stardust can be sold for an even higher price of Poké Dollar1500.

Stardust appears in various locations in every game of the core series, most commonly as a hidden item. In many of them, wild Staryus have a chance of holding a Stardust, usually 50%, and their evolutionary form, Starmies, also have a 50% chance of holding the item in some games.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Stardust is one of the parts needed to craft a Star Piece, along with three Red Shards, three Blue Shards, and three Green Shards.
