Springleaf Field is the main setting for the "Field Trip" activities and appears in all three types of Pikachu's days. However, the layout of Springleaf Field changes each time. During Part 1, the setting in is a much smaller area of Springleaf Field. However, a Charmander can be found on a high hill that is not accessible. During Part 2, the setting appears to take place in a much larger area of Springleaf Fields. There is much more space to run in and Abra's Shop in the shape of a tree can be found here. During Part 3, the setting appears to be a deeper area of Springleaf Field. There are two peach trees that have four delicious peaches on each tree and numerous of swirling flowers that can make Pikachu dizzy if the player keeps talking around them. A Diglett may occasionally pop up from the ground and Pikachu would chase after it.

Springleaf Fields is an excellent area to collect items such as raspberries and sunflowers to add to the number of Pika Points at the end. Springleaf Fields during Pikachu's Play Days is considered the preferred one to play at thanks to Abra's Shop being located out in the open. Once all of the five Oddish evolve into Gloom and then Vileplume, they will give the player a topaz just before sundown.

Pokémon Channel[]

Springleaf Field is a grassy plains consisting of several flowers and grassy patches. Springleaf Field is just outside the player's house, accessible from exiting from the gate of the player's yard. It is the only area outside the vicinity of the player's house that can be visited without a bus pass. Because Springleaf Field is wide and open, Pokémon deem it ideal to play there. There are two tall, inaccessible windmills in the background of Springleaf Field.

If Pikachu is directed to a small hole, he examines it until finding a ball, which Pikachu takes out and asks if the player can play catch with him. In catch, Pikachu tells the player specifically how he wants the ball to be thrown. If the player misses, the game shows how many successful throws the player has done before ending.

The player can direct Pikachu to a small field of clovers, where Pikachu looks for a four-leaf clover. If Pikachu does find a four-leaf clover, he gives it to the player. The four-leaf clover does not affect the game, but its inclusion and Pikachu's reason for looking for it is attributed to the fact that four-leaf clovers are meant to represent good luck.

On TV, Springleaf Field can be sometimes be in Pokémon News Flash, when Meowth interviews a Pokémon there, or in Shop 'N Squirtle, when a Pokémon gives a testimonial about a Pokémon doll in their likeness. Springleaf Field can be seen during cutscenes where Magnemite deliver a TV to the player's house.
