Effect[]
Spiky Shield protects the defending Pokémon from any damaging effect or effect that lowers stats, as well as other negative effects imposed on the Pokémon. In addition, the attacking Pokémon takes 1/8 Hit Point damage. Much like other defending moves - like Protect - this move has an increased priority, but will fail with 30% chance each time used in succession.
