The larval stages eat fabrics from various objects and form cocoons out of them, possibly being the inspiration for the squares on Spewpa's body, as they resemble quilt patches. The cocoons of tapestry moth caterpillar's are also similar to Spewpa, as they form the cocoons around their bodies with their heads exposed. |

===Etymology=== |
===Etymology=== |
||
+ | Spewpa comes from ''spew'' and ''pupa''. |
||
− | Spewpa is most likely derived from the word "spew" and "pupa". The "spew" references the "spewing" of insects, and "pupa" because it is in a shell-like form, as well as being evolved from [[Scatterbug]] and the pre-evolution of [[Vivillon]]. |
