Slowpoke Well is a place northwest of Route 33 where Slowpoke is the mascot of the area. Despite that, Zubat is found more than Slowpoke here.

Team Rocket invades Azalea Town and takes over the Slowpoke Well in order to acquire the Slowpoke's valuable tails, which they plan to sell on the black market (in order to raise the funds to keep their organization going, as well as for their own selfish greed).

Kurt is a helper. When he tries to defeat the Team Rocket grunt, he falls down the well, hurting his back in the process. He then asks the player to go down into the well in his place, and defeat the Team Rocket Grunts in order to rescue the Slowpokes.
