When Ash's Pokémon encounter Slowbro, it is a Slowpoke that just ignores their questions. It then dips its tail into the water before they move on. When it is last seen, it is still with its tail in the water, but when it removes it from the water, a Shellder has latched onto it and it had evolved into Slowbro.
