Trivia

• Skorupi is the only Bug-type Pokémon to no longer be a Bug-type upon evolving.
• To catch a Skorupi in the Safari Zone, place 28 Rocky Objects in the Wasteland area. Once placed, Skorupi should appear.

Origin

Skorupi is based on a scorpion. Its body shape also resembles a eurypterid or vinegarroon.

Etymology

Skorupi comes from scorpion and possibly Scorpio, the eighth astrological Zodiac sign often represented with a scorpion.
