This Emboar is a Fire/Fighting-type Pokémon owned by Shamus.
Biography[]

Prior to Shamus' debut episode, Shamus abandoned his former Tepig by tying it to a post after failing to beat a Deerling. Shamus left and got a replacement Tepig which performed better in Shamus' eyes and became a fully evolved Emboar.
Emboar was used in a battle against Kylan's Mienshao and Watchog while teamed up with Heatmor. Watchog was able to use Slam but Emboar hit the two with Hammer Arm. After Heatmor knocked them both out with Flame Burst, Shamus won.
Emboar was then used again in a battle with Heatmor against Ash's Snivy and Tepig as Emboar deflects Snivy's Leaf Storm and knocks Tepig with Hammer Arm. Shamus also reveals to Ash about his cruel nature for abandoning Tepig to think he was emotional of saying goodbye to it and his Emboar that he used to battle along with Heatmor against Ash is actually the other Tepig who has a little talent than the previous Tepig causing Tepig in a horrible shock after hearing about this revelation. To Ash's fury, Emboar was hit by Snivy's Attract and was hit several times from her Vine Whip but Heatmor helped him to break out of the Attract by using Fury Swipes on him. Emboar then used Flamethrower while Heatmor used Fire Spin, missing Snivy but successfully hitting Tepig. After Snivy dodged the attack, Emboar was able to hit her by using Heat Crash. Snivy helped Tepig to gain confidence and it used Flame Charge to attack Emboar and Heatmor. Both Emboar and Heatmor were able to stand up after Tepig's attack, because it did nothing to them, and Emboar used Flare Blitz while Heatmor's Fire Spin surrounded him. The attack was aimed at Tepig but Snivy pushed it out of the away, taking the attack herself, and Emboar knocked Snivy out. After Tepig evolved into Pignite, he used Fire Pledge on Emboar and Heatmor, then knocked them both out with Flame Charge, and Ash won the battle.
