Scream Tail (サケブシッポ, Sakebushippo?) (SCREAM tail[1]) is a Fairy/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Scream Tail is a round and pink Pokémon that resembles a Jigglypuff with subtle differences and a larger size, appearing as its Past Paradox counterpart. Its large circular eyes are bright-yellow, with small darker-pink round specks beneath each one, as well as slightly darker pink slightly curled markings that resemble lashes above its eyes. Its mouth, which it can open up widely to emit loud screams, has two sharp, protruding fangs. Short tufts of fur fringe out beside its traingle-shaped ears. It possesses a distinctly long, thick tuft of fur protruding from its forehead that curls back behind it; this tuft tapers off to a darker-pink colour. It has two clawed feet with three digits, and two stubby arms. It has a short dinosaur-like/draconic pointed tail.

Shiny Scream Tail has a more violet coloration compared to its non-shiny counterpart. Its eyes are scarlet-red rather than yellow.

Behavior[]

Scream Tail is said to be a prehistoric Jigglypuff from approximately one billion years ago. It is said to be ferociously aggressive in the wild; it has the potential to attack anyone who comes near out of aggression. It is named after a creature with distinct tail and loud screaming voice.

Natural abilities[]

Scream Tail can only have the ability Protosynthesis, which will boost its most proficient stat in harsh sunlight or if it is holding a Booster Energy. It is able to levitate and hover, as well as emit sonic-blast screams to fight off its opponents.

Evolution[]

Scream Tail does not evolve, due to Wigglytuff not having a Paradox Pokemon form.

Game Info[]

The player will encounter a Scream Tail when they progress through part of Area Zero. The first one is fought with Nemona. As you progress downwards of Area Zero to reach the lab that Sada is in, Scream Tail spawning becomes more frequent.

    Trivia[]

    • According to the magazine referenced in Scream Tail's Violet Pokédex entry, it existed 400 million years before the first multicellular life on Earth; however, due to the magazine's dubious nature, this is possibly only a theory.

    Origin[]

Scream Tail seems to be the Ancient Paradox counterpart to the modern Jigglypuff, albeit with a more feral appearance. Its sharp fangs, tail, and aggressive behavior hint at its dinosaur-like nature.

    Etymology[]

Scream Tail is literally scream tail. It was likely named such due to this prehistoric Jigglypuff emitting screaming cries, and for posssesing a dinosaur-like tail (which was possibly interpreted to be its long hair tuft as well).
