Sandygast (Japanese: スナバァ, Hepburn: Sunabaa) is a ghost/ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII.
Biology
Physiology
Sandygast looks a lot like a pile of sand with a face and a shovel on its head just like its evolution known as Palossand.
Behavior
Natural abilities
Sandygast can possess others if they accidentally touch its shovel. With this ability, it controls children to pile up sand in order to make itself larger.
Also, Sandygast can use its tunnel-shaped mouth to absorb the energy of humans and Pokemon.

Pokédex entries
- Sun
Born from a sand mound playfully built by a child, this Pokémon embodies the grudges of the departed.
- Moon
It takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body.
- Ultra Sun
It likes the shovel on its head, so Sandygast will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back.
- Ultra Moon
If you build sand mounds when you’re playing, destroy them before you go home, or they may get possessed and become Sandygast.
