Sand Attack is a Ground-type move. The Pokémon kicks sand at the opponent, making the opponent lose accuracy. Despite being a Ground-type move, many types of Pokémon can learn this move. It was introduced in Generation I. However, it was a Normal-type move until Generation II. Mud-Slap appears to be a damaging counterpart to this move.
