Chapter plot[]
Oleana shows the tickets for the distant regions where the group could look for Henry, as well as the Rusted Shield and Sword. Hop points out that Leon also went to the Isle of Armor, which has a lot of students there training at a dojo. Marvin is relieved to hear that it is populated: Hop shows on the Rotom Phone a video of Mustard, a former Champion and Fighting-type Gym Leader, inviting people to train at his dojo. Marvin comments how fun it looks, for a man supposed to be intimidating. Marnie asks which person will go to which region: Oleana describes Isle of Armor as the place with the dojo, while the Crown Tundra has an encampment and a small village of elderly folk. She also recalls there being a lot of unknown Pokémon, making it unclear how dangerous it is over there.
Oleana believes having Mavin and Casey sent to the Isle of Armor, while the rest to the Crown Tundra is appropriate enough. Bede complies, though he comments he could do well on his own. Hop takes an insult to that, and this bickering annoys Marnie some more. However, their talk is interrupted by Casey, who shouts out that they will find Henry. On the Isle of Armor, at Soothing Highlands, two trainers attempt to chase some odd-colored Slowpoke, demanding of them to return their dojo outfits. The man asks the woman, Klara, to go ahead, giving her an advantage as a woman. She, however, remarks that the man entered the dojo before her, making him a senior. The two bicker some more, as the man claims that this is nothing for an underground pop-star like Klara who sold only 8 albums, to which she defends herself that he does make Poké Balls levitate with his psychic power. The two annoy each other some more, but deep down regret having come to the dojo, for this is a very arduous training.
The man reminds himself that he wants to become a Gym Leader, coming from a family of psychics - and that he needs to shape up his power for something better. Klara, on the other hand, aspires for fame, and picked Poison-type speciality, thinking she'd be without any competition. The two don't have a high opinion of each other, and remembering there aren't any spots for a Gym Leader left, they want to keep up their training to beat one another. Suddenly, they notice the Slowpoke returning, but to their shock, they find an unconscious body of Henry. Moments later, at the dojo, Mustard greets the two as Klara and Avery, asking if they have retrieved their outfits. Avery is blunt, pointing out they did find an unconscious boy, making Mustard worried about their first day of training. Mustard attempts to examine Henry, while Klara pushes Avery away and notes that he is poisoned.
A woman arrives, advising they could let Henry rest here. Mustard complies, to which Honey has students take Henry to a room. Mustard recalls Klara mentioning that she did meet a Poison-type specialist, and would appreciate her contacting this person. Klara is startled, for all she did was meet this "Miss Poison" during her touring days, and doesn't know her that well. Regardless, she uses her Rotom Phone to call. The voice is upset, as she doesn't want to be called "Miss Poison", but Klara still continues on about a boy suffering from unknown poison. Meanwhile, at Wedgehurst Station, Sonia, Oleana and Magnolia bid farewell to the group, who split going of Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra, and promise to call each other so they can give advice. The group rides off in separate trains to their destinations.
A machine has finished its work, and a boy reports to Klara that it has been done. Klara is not impressed by the machine that the boy, Hyde has built, but he assures her it can form food and medicine from recipes. Klara, however, wonders if it is safe, but Hyde reminds that it is the one that Miss Poison sent to them. Klara jokes how that girl is a pharmacist, and utters a curse to Hyde to remind him not to be like that. The two visit Henry, and give him the pill. In a moment, the two are blown away by how long Henry's hair has become. Klara calls Miss Poison again, who again takes offense to that name. Regardless, Klara is told that the new long hair is the byproduct from consuming the pill, but he should be cured, and his hair can be cut. Henry, however, wakes up, startling Hyde and Klara, who run away. A moment later, Honey visits Henry, and praises Hyde, even though Klara thinks that she did provide the recipe. Avery leans in, annoyed that Klara got the attention while he did nothing.
Mustard visits Henry as well, and introduces himself to him, wondering if there is someone they could contact to let them know he is safe. Henry is hesitant to say, due to a problem. Mustard smiles, replying that he can listen to him. In fact, he would like of Henry to stay, since they have a lot of students here anyway. However, he then thinks someone another will be joining them, and has Klara the task to welcome these new students. Avery becomes upset, and dashes in to obtain this task, so he could get some attention, as "Klara is too exhausted from healing the boy." Klara doesn't mind that - since she has less experience than others do. she knows Avery's intentions, and the two argue. Casey and Marvin arrive by Corviknight taxi to the island, and as they land down, they are greeted by Klara, who is "their senior". Marvin and Casey are estranged, thinking she has them mixed up with someone else, and decide to play dumb. Klara realizes she is being fooled around, and shouts out to them to stop.
She asks them if they will be joining the dojo. Marvin confirms that, but before he says anything further, Klara reminds them it would be rude of them to ignore their senior, who went all this way to greet them. Thus, she wants to check their strength, to which Marvin states to Casey that she wants a battle. Casey understands, and sends out all of her Pokémon. Klara is surprised to see her send all of her Pokémon, and shocked to see Casey crying. However, Casey is touched to see all of her Pokémon back together. Klara feels mocked, and sends Slowpoke out; Marvin notices it has a different colored-head, implying on a different typing. Casey hasn't seen this Pokémon before, but knowing she has to satisfy battling Klara, she sends Giga out. Giga uses First Impression, toppling Slowpoke away. Klara is angry, and sends Venipede out. Casey is unsure about this Pokémon either, but as she goes to pick her next Pokémon, she turns to Giga and Mega: she chooses Bit - her Raboot - which she nicknamed when they all got back together. Bit uses Flame Charge, defeating Venipede as well.
Marvin is glad to see Casey winning this battle. Klara and Avery, however, are displeased, seeing another powerful trainer means that their efforts will go unnoticed. Thus, Klara realizes she could pretend that this was a misunderstanding: she shies away, stating she had the wrong trainers. Klara runs off, to which Casey and Marvin go after her and shout. In that moment, Henry hears her voice, and recognizes her companion.
