- (Japanese: 未来へつなげ！かがやきさまの伝説！！, Hepburn: Connect to the Future! The Legend of the Radiant One!!) is the 47th episode of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon - Ultra Adventures.
Synopsis
Ash and the others, part of the Ultra Guardians, are approaching near with figuring out the legend of the radiant one which has been passed down from ancient times in the Alola region. However, they still haven't figured out how they're going to resolve Alola's crisis. When Ash and the gang are troubled with fear, Tapu Koko responds with action. And then, Ash and the gang act on restoring Alola's peace.
Episode Plot
Previously, Ash and the others travel to Poipole's home world through an Ultra Hole and learn that UB:Black, or Necrozma, has to regain its power by absorbing Ultra Aura, else that world was doomed. They decide to use their Z-Powers to restore Necrozma, so they can save both Solgaleo and the Poipole on that world. The Matori Matrix from Team Rocket are also trying to go in and capture the Ultra Beasts, when Faba and Professor Kukui intervened, they landed and Gozu took all of their pokémon out by mega-evolving his Aggron and using Heavy Slam.
After their pokémon got slammed, they recalled them and Professor Kukui asks what Faba's next pokémon was going to be but Faba didn't have any others. Gozu then looks up and says that it's started as the sun slowly get's covered by the moon.
Back at the heroes, they watch as Necrozma absorbs the Z-Energy but it didn't let go of Solgaleo. Gladion asks what happened, and a scared Rotom tells him that it was the worst thing that could happen for Necrozma to continue possessing Solgaleo and getting powered up. The gang then ask Ash what to do, but Ash doesn't know. Solgaleo then fires Prismatic Lasers at the cliff sides.
Outside, the moon continues to cover the sun and lots of people gather to watch the Manalo Festival begin, as well as the Kahunas, and they make a pose around the sun. Matori then asks Gozu to get back to the ship, Gozu tells the other members to go without him since he needs to finish off the two troublemakers. After they get aboard the aircraft, he tells Aggron to use Heavy Slam again. Professor Kukui then tells Faba to keep the next thing a secret from the kids as he sends his famous Incineroar out and has it use Darkest Lariat. It deflects the Heavy Slam and Aggron uses flash cannon. Kukui then uses Malicious Moonsault, Incineroar's exclusive Z-Move, and defeats Gozu's Mega Aggron. Faba then notices that what he said during his Z-Move was the same as Royal Mask's. He shows his Royal Mask T-Shirt and they both make the pose, as well as Incineroar. Gozu then recalls Aggron and retreats on the air-craft. The ship then tries to charge through the Ultra Hole, but a familiar Island guardian pierces straight through the ship. Angry, Matori and Gozu ask each other what happened, they then see Tapu Koko in front of them, guarding the Ultra Hole. Since the rudder wasn't working and the thrusters' power dropped by 30%, Gozu yells at Matori to make a decision until she finally decides to retreat. The sun was now half covered by the moon.
Beyond the Ultra Hole, the guardians get back up from the Prismatic Laser and Ash has an idea, Sophocles excitedly asks if it was real, but Ash says he has no idea. Sophocles asks that he said he had one, to which Ash responds by saying that he has no idea what to do, but he does know that they'll never give up. The group then agree with him, but then Necrozma charges straight for them, and gets knocked off course by Lunala. The two roar at each other and Gladion says that they have Lunala with them, Ash then says that they also have their pokémon. They then send out all their Pokémon.
At this time, the moon has covered the entire sun and Tapu Koko sends out some particles into the Ultra Hole. Kukui, Faba, Lusamine, and Burnet all wonder what it's doing, Burnet notices that it looks exactly like the pose the Kahunas do when they show their gratitude during the Manalo Festival. Wicke then manages to get a visual link to the heroes.
They then contact Lillie successfully and she tells them that they're in the Poipole's world and have found out that UB:Black is the Blinding One who has lost its light. Lusamine tells her that it matches what was on the mural. Kiawe then tells them that the Poipole call the Blinding One Necrozma. Gladion says they tried to restore Necrozma's power with their Z-Power but failed. Burnet concludes that they then need a lot more people and Pokémon power, and tells them that when this happened before, it was Solgaleo, Lunala, and the people and Pokémon that shared their light with it. Ash concludes that they need everyone's power, not just Z-Power but Sophocles wonders how they would send their power. Burnet snaps her fingers and says that Tapu Koko is probably sending Z-Power through the Ultra Hole to Necrozma. Lusamine asks if that means they have to do what Tapu Koko's doing, and gets a yes so Wicke, Lusamine, and Burnet pose and make a triangle with their hands. The heroes understand and they and the Pokémon all do it, Lusamine then calls the Kahunas to all do it as well. Hala thanks her on the phone on behalf of all the Island Kahunas. He then proceeds to telling the people how Tapu Koko is sending its power through the Ultra Hole, and how the Blinding One who created the Alola Region is on the other side and has lost its light. His message gets broadcasted through many devices and Faba, Kukui, and the Team Rocket trio see it as well. Olivia tells her people on her Island that the same Blinding One used all its light and has turned pitch black, and if they were to save it, the power of everyone on Alola was needed. Tapu Lele also starts sending her energy towards the hole. Nanu and Tapu Bulu also send there power up and Nanu tells the others that they should send it too, along with the prayers of gratitude that have been passed down during the Manalo Festival. Hala then broadcasts that the power they send will save Solgaleo, Lunala, and the Blinding One and Tapu Fini is seen sending its power. All four Island Guardians chant and every Pokémon looks up at the sky. Hala, Olivia, and Nanu all pray to give the Blinding One all of Alola's Power. As well as the Aether Foundation outside the school.
Necrozma was about to attack but stopped as all the energy started flowing into it. As the heroes continue sending theirs, Poipole notices that the rest of his colony weren't doing it and tells them what to do. Team Rocket notices that everyone is doing a strange pose and wonder if they have to do it too, Jessie refuses since it looks tiring to the arms. At that moment, Beware jumps into their faces and pops the balloon. After it crashed into the ground, the trio notice Beware doing the pose and think it's telling them to do it. Meowth doesn't get it but does it anyways since the twerps would then come back sooner and they'll be able to steal their Pokémon sooner too. So the trio then do it. Everyone is then shown to be sending their energy and all that energy goes into the Ultra Hole and into Necrozma. As Necrozma absorbed it all, it separated from Solgaleo. The group exclaim that they did it and they just need to let Necrozma regain its light. Solgaleo then collapses and Lunala flies over to check on it. Necrozma, who still didn't regain it's light completely, then charges towards the heroes, using Prismatic Lasers on them. Kahuna Hala, Olivia, and Nanu then use their Z-Moves and send their Z-Power to Necrozma. However, it wasn't enough and it started moving towards Solgaleo and Lunala. Gladion then jumps on Silvally and uses Air Slash to distract it, Lunala then throws him a Z-Crystal. Mallow and Ash then head over to give Solgaleo a Citrus Berry. Gladion asks if Lunala wants him to use a Z-Move, he then turns back. Necrozma then looks over at Solgaleo, who's now alright. Gladion then asks Ash if he can pull off a Z-Move, Ash says he'll try and the two of them use the Z-Crystals from Solgaleo and Lunala and pull of Searing Sunraze Smash and a Menancing Moonraze Maelstrom. The two powerful Z-Moves manage to restore Necrozma's light and everyone's happy. Ash contacts Lusamine that they saved Solgaleo and the Blinding One. Happy, Wicke, Lusamine, and Burnet look at the sun, just in time for the eclipse to start to recede. Necrozma then lights up Poipole's world again, causing the heroes to look in awe at the green. Lusamine then messages them that the Ultra Hole was beginning to close and they start to hurry out. Ash then notices that Poipole wasn't coming, the colony leader translates that it's staying there to help them protect the land. Sad, Ash cries that it's for the best and Poipole touches hands with Pikachu. Kiawe tells Ash that they need to hurry, and Ash replies that he knows and bids farewell to Poipole, saying that they'll meet again. Everyone is sad but they need to go, they follow Lunala and Solgaleo as Poipole cries and then draws a picture with its tail in the sand. A bunch of things about Poipole is shown. Ash still looks down but Pikachu alerts him of something and he sees the picture Poipole drew, Ash with Pikachu with the thunder sign that means I love. They then say that they love Poipole too and wave goodbye. They go through the Ultra Hole and the Aether Foundation and the professor were happy to see them, even the Team Rocket trio, who think it's their big chance to steal Solgaleo and Lunala, but get carried away by Beware. The energy particles then come out of the Ultra Hole and form the Blinding One's shape, putting everyone in awe.
Back at school, Kukui shows up in class with his coat buttoned again and said sup instead of the cheerful Alola. Sophocles asks if it happened again but Professor Kukui says he just has a cold to which everyone fell to the ground. Ash then cheerfully decides to do the morning greeting themselves, with Kiawe adding to do it with everything they got. Mallow then has them shout it out load, ALOLA!
Hala looks at the sky and thinks that a lot happened, but the Manalo festival was a success. Olivia cries and thanks the Blinding One. However, Nanu thinks that it was a troublesome festival.
