Route 4 is a short path in northern Kanto that connects Cerulean City to the eastern exit of Mt. Moon.
Description[]
Route 4 is surrounded by Mt. Moon on the northern and western side and forms several contours. Several ledges can be found on different areas of the route, and a large patch of grass, surrounded by several trees can be found on the southeastern part. A body of water is located in the eastern part of the route. Once you jump down to the grass near the southeast corner of the route, there's no going back up.
In Generation I and Generation III, a man can be found in the Pokémon Center on the western segment of the route, who sells Magikarp of Lvl. 5 for 500. In the eastern segment, there are two Move Tutors who will teach one of your Pokémon the moves Mega Kick and Mega Punch respectively.
