Route 3 is a woodland path in Unova connecting Striaton City and Nacrene City. It has a bridged lake in the south of the area. Unova's Day Care Center is located here, with a preschool next door. Also, as a piece of trivia, there are a number of small shrubs spread out in the bridged area; these shrubs are shaped like Pikachu. The first dungeon in Unova, Wellspring Cave, is found in the north-west. Many Trainers lie in wait along the road.

Cheren will challenge you to a battle here. When the battle's done, you'll see Bianca and a young girl running after Team Plasma, who have stolen the girl's Pokémon. Team Plasma flee to Wellspring Cave. After defeating them, you can continue your journey on the southern road towards Nacrene City.
