Description[]
Route 1 is a route on Melemele Island in the Alola region. There is a nearby Trainers' School. The southern part of Route 1 is titled Hau'oli Outskirts, which has the major locations like the Player's house and Professor Kukui's Laboratory.

In the anime, Ash moved into Professor Kukui's house, which is located on Route 1, when he began his journey to Alola. Professor Burnet also moved into the house after she and Professor Kukui got married. Also on Route 1 is the Pokémon School, which Ash attended along with Kiawe, Sophocles, Lana, Mallow, and Lillie.
