Route 12 (Kalos) Routes Route 14 (Kalos)

Kalos Route 13, also known as Lumiose Badlands, is a route in the Kalos region.

Kalos Route 13

Description[]

Route 13 appears a vast badlands area between Coumarine City and Lumiose City. Several power plants line across the edge of the route, with one of them in the west accessible. Trails in which the player character can skate through using their Roller Skates are also scattered across the route.

Unlike most areas, Pokémon are encountered by touching what appears to be a moving pile of rocks instead of tall grass or just appearing, and using Repels cannot prevent them from appearing. Often there are strong sandstorms blowing from west to east, affecting the player character's movement as well as restricting their explorable area.

Due to the power plants, this area has a special magnetic field that allows the evolution of Magneton and Nosepass into Magnezone and Probopass respectively.
