Roark is a character appearing in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!, who is the Gym Leader of the Oreburgh City Gym in the Sinnoh region.
Biography[]
Roark's Gym Battle against Hareta.
Roark stopped Mitsumi from rescuing Hareta and his Piplup from the Team Galactic Grunts the and said to her that he would save them instead. Roark confronted the Team Galactic Grunts and introduced himself as the Oreburgh City Gym Leader. Roark used his Cranidos to chase the Team Galactic Grunts away. He later accepted Hareta's battle and he used his Cranidos while Hareta used his Piplup. Roark was surprised by Hareta's battling style and Piplup was able to defeat Cranidos after a tough battle. Roark gave Hareta the Coal Badge, and mentioned that he couldn't believe that he lost two battles that day.[1]
Roark was mentioned by Byron when Byron told Hareta that he had met Byron's son already.[2]
