This Riolu is a fighting-type Pokémon owned by Riley.
Biography[]
As an egg[]
Riley placed an egg inside the cave on Iron Island. He set this as a challenge for Diamond, to complete the course, as well as to deliver the egg back to Riley.[1] However, two roughnecks stole the egg, so Diamond devised a plan to get it from them. His Tru emitted Razor Leaf, which was deflected, causing the leaves to fall on the ground. The next time, Tru emitted one leaf that hit a roughneck's Vespiquen, who dropped the egg on the leaves, and Diamond quickly took it to preserve it, and let Riley and his Lucario defeat them.[2]
Captain Eldritch, Riley and the sailors observed as the egg hatched into a Riolu.[3]
As Riolu[]
Everyone cheered, which made Eldritch think of his son's birth. Lucario placed its offspring on its shoulder. When Diamond saw a photo of Byron and Roark, he Riolu and Lucario, as family he needed to protect from Team Galactic.[3]
Riley had Lucario and Riolu use their aura to clear the electromagnetic field to follow the spy drone,[4] even as they sailed on the sea.[5] They went to the Sinnoh mainland, and disboarded at the Sendoff Spring. There Riley's Riolu sensed something coming from the Turnback Cave, and the group encountered the Team Galactic grunt, who didn't wish to fight them.[6]
