Appearance[]

Transclusion
This section, or a part of it, has been transcluded from Rika; any changes involving it should be made there instead.

Rika is a young slender woman with long green hair in a low ponytail and red eyes. For clothing, she wears a gray button-up shirt, a black necktie, black pants with suspenders, brown shoes and matching black gloves. She wears a ear piercing and earrings and is shown wearing glasses when she is working under Geeta.

Her preference for Ground-types is reflected by her green hair resembling grass, and her brown clothing representing the soil itself. Her distinctly wide eyes further reflects her grounded nature.

Personality[]

Rika has a very laid-back and down-to-earth personality, hence her Ground-type specialty. She frequently uses slang in her speech, using "kiddo" as a nickname for the player. When she is working as an interviewer and an Elite Four member, she is more professional and serious, though some of her laid-back personality still leaks through at times.

Biography[]

When Nemona was helping Liko, Roy and Dot familiarize Naranja Academy, Rika appeared from behind Hassel, and greeted the three. She then noticed Liko being an exchange student from Indigo Academy, and patted Liko on the shoulder as reassurance. She then watched the battle between Liko and Anne, and she agreed with Geeta that exchanges between the two academies would be positive.[1]

Per request of Clavell, Rika battled against Tulip and Sidian in a Double Battle. She then succeeded in defeating Sidian's Garganacl, becoming the winner of the match. Subsequently, she accepted to become Katy and Liko's opponent.[2]

Prior to battling against Katy and Liko in a Double Battle, Rika noticed Liko being anxious, so she and Katy helped Liko ease up with some encouragement. Both Rika's Clodsire and Dugtrio gave Liko's Floragato and Katy's Lokix a hard challenge. After Lokix was down, Rika offered to have Floragato face Clodsire one-on-one. She Terastalized Clodsire, and won the battle after Clodsire used Earth Power. Through this battle, Rika motivated Liko to be more engaged in battling and be confident in herself.[3]

Rika was involved in discussing Liko's training results with Geeta. She also watched the battle between Roy and Liko. After congratulating Liko, Rika and Geeta suggested her on challenging the Paldean Pokémon League in the future.[4]
