Resort Area is a location introduced in Generation IV.
Description[]
The Resort Area is located in the Battle Zone sub-region near Sinnoh. If the player fishes in Pokémon Platinum Version, Magikarp leveled anywhere between 1 through 100 can be found. It is the only location in the Battle Zone without a Poké Mart. The Ribbon Syndicate can be found here, as well as the Villa in Pokémon Platinum Version only. The only item found in this area is the Nugget. The Resort Area, along with all of the other small towns in the Battle Area, has been redesigned in Pokémon Platinum.
Near the entry of Resort Area, is a signboard aside a House. The House leads to two ways. The Southern Path leads to a bridge which provides the path to the Pokémon Center situated across a River. The eastern path leads to the Battle Zone Building. Aside the Battle Zone Building is a small artificial Pond with a large umbrella. However, this pond cannot be used to fish Pokemon. To the east of the Pokémon Center are some stairs, that lead to a Pokémon Lab. Near the Lab is a similar artificial pond which cant be used for fishing. Fence surrounds the House and the Pond, thus, leaving no way to move forward. The Resort Area has no other exit or entry path other than the main path visible. There is no tall grass to catch Pokémon. However the river with bridge can be used to catch Pokémon.
