The Ranger Rank is a mechanic in the Pokémon Ranger series.
Description[]
The Ranger Rank is a leveling system introduced by the Ranger Union so that beginner Pokémon Rangers would not be overwhelmed from having too much freedom with the Capture Stylers or too many partner Pokémon. The player can upgrade their Ranger Rank by completing missions, each giving a few more abilities, such as Poké Assists from Pokémon of more types, an improved Capture Styler, and the maximum number of partner Pokémon.
Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs does not have Ranger Ranks, unlike the first two games, because much of the gameplay is separate from the Ranger Union. However, changes such as powering up one's partner Pokémon still occurs at specific points in the story.
Appearances[]
