The Rainbow Wing is a key item introduced in Generation II.
Effect[]
The Rainbow Wing is required to encounter Ho-Oh atop Bell Tower in the games taking place within Johto, just as the Silver Wing allows the player to encounter Lugia. In Pokémon HeartGold Version, the Clear Bell is another item required to encounter Ho-Oh.
The Rainbow Wing exists in the code of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet as a dummied item titled Rainbow Feather, complete with its own description.
