A Royal Rumble with Regirock, Regice and Registeel I (Japanese: VS レジロック・レジアイス・レジスチル I, Hepburn: VS Regirock, Regice, Registeel I) is the 4th chapter of Pokémon Adventures: Volume 21.

Synopsis[]

As Steven's allies try to awaken the Legendary Golems, Steven rescues Sapphire from the blast. Since Rustboro City, Sapphire has been searching for Steven and gives him the letter, which is an answer on awakening the Golems.

Chapter plot[]

Steven senses the blast at Sootopolis City, feeling this wave is spreading away. At New Mauville, some children are visiting a patient from Rustboro City's hospital. However, Riley calms them down, while Wanda considers Mr. Stone lucky the Rustboro Tunnel was opened in time, allowing him to come to New Mauville for healing, while Mr. Stone mutters Steven's name. At Lilycove City, Steven knows the blind boy tried his best, but wonders the part about "Wa" and "Re". Glacia, Sidney and Drake try to get Steven to translate the slab, since they cannot awaken Regice, Regirock and Registeel. Sidney's Zangoose uses Crush Claw, but the attack does not awaken Regirock.

Phoebe places the Devon Scope to find any trace of the slab, but fails. Steven decides to abandon the plan, wanting to counter the blast of the Sootopolis City. He asks Phoebe to bring the slab to him, while others should remain put. Phoebe, the blind boy and the swimmer fly on Metang, while Steven flies off with Metagross. At Sootopolis City, Gabby and Ty ride off on Absol, while Wallace is in the aircar and Altaria protects Winona. Ruby and Sapphire are engulfed by the blast. Steven moves to Sootopolis, shocked how the blast affected the city. His Metagross uses Reflect to protect themselves. Steven sees a person being blasted away, so has Metagross rush to her and rescue her.

The girl is Sapphire, who recognizes Steven, giving him the letter, sent by Mr. Stone. Steven reads it, seeing this is the transcript from the slab. He praises his father, for the answer to unlock Regirock, Regice and Registeel are Wailord and Relicanth.
