Purple Eyes is a character appearing in Guardian Signs. He is one of the Admins of the Pokémon Pinchers. The others are Blue Eyes and Red Eyes
Appearance[]
Purple Eyes is a young man in a purple jacket and pants. He also wears a control gauntlet on his right arm.
Personality[]
Purple Eyes is the most ruthless of the Pincher admins, willing to kidnap and threaten children to get his way. Red Eyes describes him as the type to throw away people and objects as soon as they have served their purpose. He is also vengeful, going after the Societea after they toss him aside.
Following his arrest and questioning by the Union, Purple Eyes turns into a distrustful sociopath that wishes to destroy the world instead of rule it.
Biography[]
Purple Eyes is first encountered in the Oblivia Ruins, holding Nema and Leanne hostage in order to have Leanne translate the ruins scriptures to find Zapdos. When the Player arrives to save Nema and Leanne, Purple Eyes introduces himself and reveals he is the true leader of the pinchers as well as the one who fired Blue Eyes. He attacks with a Garchomp, but the Player manages to capture it and Rand and the Partner free Leanne and Nema. Purple Eyes is unfazed by this, as he now knows the location of Zapdos and flies off.
He is next fought in Zapdos' Nest where he attacks with a Metagross, but the Player captures the Metagross and stops Purple Eyes from awakening Zapdos. However, a concealed stranger arrives and awakens Zapdos personally and kicks him out of the Pinchers. After the Player and Partner go after the strange, Purple Eyes vows he is not finished yet.
After Ed "The Thinker" is defeated in the Sky Fortress, Purple Eyes teleports into the room with a Gardevoir and reveals he has taken the remaining pieces of the Golden Armor. He then takes Ed's piece of the armor of uses its full power to further strengthen Ed's Mewtwo and have it banish Ed and Rand when the latter tries to protect him. He then has Mewtwo attack the Player, but the latter manages to capture Mewtwo and the Golden Armor scatters itself across Oblivia. Suddenly, the Sky Fortress begins to shake and Purple Eyes reveals that without the Golden Armor to control it, the fortress will fall out of the sky. He then muses that battle between the Pinchers and the Rangers will end up with them all losing before collapsing. After the Sky Fortress is harmlessly landed into the sea thanks to Ho-oh, Purple Eyes is arrested.
During the Special Mission, Pledge to Arceus, Purple Eyes appears after Arceus is talked down from destroying the Sky Fortress and Oblivia along with it. He reveals that after all the questioning he received at the Union, he found himself unable to trust people anymore and that he understands Arceus's rage and wants to for a bond with it. He asks Arceus to destroy the world and rebuild it with Arceus as its ruler. Purple Eyes' monstrous request and complete misunderstanding of Arceus's nature reignites Arceus's fury and the Player is forces to capture it to prevent it from destroying Oblivia. After Arceus is capture and assured the mistakes of the past that caused its pain will not be repeated, it leaves for its own world and takes Purple Eyes with it. As he is being taken away, Purple Eyes reveals he faked his remorse and begs Arceus not to take him away. His pleas are ignored and he is taken away and Prof. Hastings realizes Arceus will release Purple Eyes once he truly reforms.
