Biography[]
As Rockruff[]
The Masked Royal sent Rockruff to battle Sun's Dollar. Dollar fired Ember against Rockruff's Rock Throw.[1] After exchanging blows, the Masked Royal noted how Sun was not interested in battle, "like always". Sun was insulted, noting the Masked Royal knew him from somewhere else. Sun tried to unmask the Masked Royal and fought him, with Dollar and Rockruff doing in a similar manner. Hala threatened to disqualify them, and was forced to show the reward for winning the tournament. This motivated Sun and Dollar, the latter evading Rockruff's Rock Throw. Dollar used Tackle on Rockruff and defeated it.[2]
After Kukui went to Akala Island, he left Popplio and Rockruff in his house to be taken care of by his wife, Professor Burnet.[3]
As Lycanroc[]
To stop the Ultra Beasts from reaching Hokulani Observatory, Professor Kukui sent Lycanroc to attack Celesteela and Guzzlord at Route 10 (Alola).[4]
