In Japan, Porta Vista was actually split into two locations: Acapulco and Hutber Port. Since Beauty and the Beach was skipped in 1998 during the original run of the English dub, however, Tentacool & Tentacruel was actually the US debut of Porta Vista. In Japan, this location was Hatoba Port. However, since a shot of Aopulco was shown at the beginning of the episode, when Beauty and the Beach was dubbed, Porta Vista kept its original name.
