Pokémon Picnic is a brand new feature introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
It is the successor of the Pokémon Camp.

Making Sandwiches[]
Players can make various sandwiches at the picnic table. Sandwiches have various effects upon being consumed with a 30-minute real-time duration based on how the sandwich was made. The player may make a sandwich via recipes from NPCs across the Paldea region, or create a custom sandwich using unlimited types of ingredients.
Basket[]
A basket can be found next to the picnic table which can be inspected to find Pokémon Eggs, with the same breeding rules applying.
If all of the Pokémon in the player's party are all incompatible with each other in terms of breeding, the basket will pick up a copy of the sparkling item underneath it from time to time instead (if applicable).
