Pokémon Card Game: How To Play DS is a software title for the Nintendo DS that released only in Japan on August 5, 2011. The game came bundled with a re-release of the Beginning Set released on that date. Its purpose is to teach how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Gameplay[]
The player can pick from one of three decks of cards, based on the Beginning Set. Besides teaching aspects of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the player can compete against up to six computer opponents. There is also a quiz that tests the player's knowledge of the rules.
The game comes with a rule dictionary for reference. It is possible to send the tutorial to friends via DS Download Play.
