Pokémon Card GB2 Here Comes Team Great Rocket! (ポケモンカードGB2 GR団参上!, Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR!?) (abbreviated Pokémon Card GB2) is a Game Boy Color game serving as the sequel to Pokémon Trading Card Game for the same system. It was released on March 28, 2001, exclusively in Japan, and is the last Pokémon game released for the Game Boy Color.
The game adds many new features not present in the original, such as new cards, the ability to play as a female character (much like how Pokémon Crystal Version added the option whilst Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version did not have it), a much more expansive in-game world, and contains nearly all of the cards from Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket.
The game features a more developed story in that rather than just collecting cards and defeating the Grand Masters, the player must defeat a new villainous team, Team Great Rocket.
Plot[]
Team Great Rocket, led by King Biruritchi, have kidnapped many of the Club Master and attempted to steal the Legendary Cards. The player, assuming the role of Mark or Mint, must rescue the Club Masters and defeat Team Great Rocket at their headquarters on GR Island.
