Poison Powder (Japanese: どくのこな, HepburnPoisonPowder), spelled PoisonPowder prior to Generation VI, is a Poison-type move introduced in Generation I.

Poison Powder causes the target to be poisoned. The target will lose HP equal to 1/8 of their max HP each turn.

Poison Powder has no effect on Poison and Steel-type Pokémon. Pokémon with the Immunity ability are also unaffected by this move.

In a Double Battle, Poison Powder can target any Pokémon that's adjacent to the user.

As of Generation VI, Poison Powder has no effect on Grass-type Pokémon or Pokémon with the Overcoat ability.
