Pocket Monsters: Gold and Silver Arc (ポケットモンスター 金銀編, Pocket Monsters: Kingin-hen?) is the third Japanese story arc subtitle of Pocket Monsters (1997 series).

舞台をジョウト地方へ移し、ワカバタウンから新しい旅に出たサトシ。ポケモンもチコリータ、ヒノアラシ、ワニノコといったおなじみの3匹をはじめ、ホーホー、キレイハナ、ブルー、ハピナス、サニーゴなどなど、金銀編ではさらに新しい仲間達がぞくぞく登場。いろいろなジムでのバトルや楽しいポケモンコンテストシーンの数々も見逃せない。[1]

The scene shifts to the Johto region, where Ash embarks on a new journey from New Bark Town. In the Gold and Silver Arc, all new companions show up one after the other starting with the familiar three, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile and continuing with Hoothoot, Bellossom, Snubbull, Blissey, Corsola and many, many more.
